WTD FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE

31/10/2025 @ 5:00 pm

Dear all,

Get ready for a vibrant celebration at the 2026 World Thinking Day Friendship Village — a lively carnival-style showcase featuring booths from Guide and Brownie units, GGS partners, and international Guiding communities. With booths themed around the 5 Point Programme and the WTD26 PAL Concept, Units will bring their topics to life through fun, hands-on games and interactive activities designed to educate and engage.

This year’s Friendship Village invites participants to dive into immersive experiences that spark curiosity and deepen connection through play. Each visitor will receive an activity card to collect stamps at booths, unlocking cool rewards like snacks, photo booth moments, and exclusive merchandise — all to amplify the festive carnival spirit!

Objectives:

● Celebrate and share Guiding experiences across our global family
● Create lasting memories of friendship, learning, and fun during this special centenary year

Booth requirements:

● Units can sign up for one booth; topics are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
● Booths should engage 6 to 8 participants simultaneously through interactive games or activities that teach the topic experientially – moving beyond the traditional ‘show-n-tell’ informative methods.

Booth topics can be found in Annex B. Sign up early and be part of this unforgettable carnival of friendship and learning!

Submission link: HERE by 12 September 2025, 5 pm.

Note: Collaboration between Units will be dependent on sign ups.

Logistics and Budget
● Units will receive booth guidelines after registration has closed.
Each booth can claim up to $150. Receipts must be provided for claims to be valid.

Here is a rough estimate of the expected expenditure on the logistics required for the booths:

Booth Materials Estimated Amount Remarks
A1 Size Posters $40 – 50 Max 1-2 pcs*
Materials for games/ hands-on activities $50 – 100 Units are to make use of sustainable materials wherever possible

*Units are encouraged to minimize posters and show-n-tell presentations, using their booth space instead to facilitate interactive activities like games or crafts. Posters should be presentable and can be professionally printed (within budget) or self-designed and printed.

Yours sincerely,

Ms Joyce Seek

Deputy Chief Commissioner
