Girl Guides Singapore turns 100 in 2017!
We are celebrating GGS’ achievements over the past 100 years and looking to the future! Join us at the many commemorative GGS events planned throughout 2017 to kick off another exciting century of Guiding for girls and young women in Singapore!
Since the Girl Guide Movement began in Singapore in 1917, GGS has been delivering on our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Today, GGS is the largest volunteer organisation for girls and women in Singapore. As a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), we are connected to over 10 million members in 145 countries.
We empower girls and women through fun and challenging programmes, and unique experiences, adventures and activities. We offer opportunities for girls to get involved in local and international communities, equipping them to make a lasting positive impact by helping others. Our girls develop a deep sense of confidence and self-assurance, along with vital leadership and life skills – all while learning through fun adventures and making lifelong friendships!
