Golden Badge

The Brownie needs to understand:

She also needs to:

know how to wear the uniform and fold the scarf;
tie a reef knot and know its uses;
read the Brownie story and at least two other Brownie stories of other countries.

Golden Bar and Golden Hand

The Golden Bar and Golden Hand test syllabus are grouped into modules. There are altogether 13 modules:

Physical Development : Healthy Me	Home Duties	Know More About Singapore	Discovering Nature	My Globe	Golden Bar: Complete 5 Modules; 1 Module from each Point
Emotional Development: Courteous Me		My Neighbourhood		My Guiding World
	Home Safety		A Green World		Golden Hand: Complete the rest of the remaining 8 modules.
Social Development: Cultured Me		Emergency Preparedness		My Guiding Friend

The Brownie may choose any Point to work on at any time. She may also select which module she wants to work on first.

In order to qualify for the Golden Bar, she needs to complete five modules, one under each Point. She will qualify for the Golden Hand after she has completed the remaining modules. After she has gained the Golden Hand Badge, she may take the Chief Commissioner’s Award.

Chief Commissioner’s Badge Award

The objectives of the Chief Commissioner’s Award are to assess the Brownie:

Knowledge of Girl Guiding History of Singapore
Knowledge of the multi-racial and diverse cultures in Singapore
Organisational and leadership skills

The journey towards the achievement of this award may be arduous and we would like to encourage each and every one of you to remain committed and to persevere towards the end. Together, we can make a difference! Wishing you all the best!

Olave St Clair Award

The Olave St Clair Award is awarded to the girl member in her respective Pack/Company/Young Adult Branch, in recognition of her exemplary character and service that upholds the Promise and Law, impacting within and/or beyond Guiding activities.

This award is independent of the Chief Commissioner’s Award Badge, Baden-Powell Award, President Guide Award and other GGS Awards.

Implementation

The deadline of the nomination of the award is aligned to the submission deadline for Puan Noor Aishah Award i.e.: Deadline for Olave St. Clair Award (Brownie) – first Saturday of January

Puan Noor Aishah Award

The Puan Noor Aishah Award scheme was implemented in year 2000.
The scheme was first revised in January 2004 and then in April 2006.

Nature and Procedure for the Puan Noor Aishah Award
This award is presented annually to all packs who have fulfilled the criteria set out by Girl Guides Singapore.

The Award is presented for three levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
