People’s Association Emergency Preparedness Badge Programme Round 3

Dear Guide Guiders,

Due to popular demand, we are pleased to offer additional vacancies for the Emergency Preparedness Trooper Badge programme.

This collaboration between Girl Guides Singapore and the People’s Association (PA) is designed to enhance youth emergency readiness by providing essential first-aid training and practical community engagement.

Programme Overview

Participants (Guides, Young Adults, or Guiders) are required to:

• Complete a 2-day First-Aid Training, CPR, and AED certification workshop facilitated by PA.
  • Day 1: Self-directed virtual learning (to be completed before the in-person session.
  • Day 2: Physical training on 30 August 2025
• Participate in at least two local community events to apply their skills, which may include:
  • Sharing lifesaving training with residents
  • Assisting SCDF trainers with CPR-AED demonstrations
  • Providing first-aid coverage at large-scale events

The badge is available for both Girl Guides and Young Adults. Adult Leaders are welcome to participate, but the badge earned cannot be worn on the uniform.

Commitment Requirements:

• Complete First-Aid Training and obtain certification
• Participate in a minimum of two community events with the People’s Association to apply skills
