Cookie Entrepreneurs Central Workshop

March 27 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Dear Guiders,

The Cookies have served as a form of identification for GGS, and also a source of nostalgia among members of the public, which are the few reasons driving the sales of cookies. However, due to the increase in price, change in packaging material, and possible stagnation in the Programme, there’s a need for a revamp to encourage higher participation. This exciting revamp encourages girls to be more confident through selling cookies, buyers to look beyond the cover of the cookie box, and showcase the direct link between buying the cookies and the impact of GGS programmes on the girls. This also increases the visibility of GGS as an organisation in the public eye. Adapted from Chell’s (2013) four main categories of entrepreneurial skills and local study recommendations, the following objectives and programme outline is presented below.

  • Developing entrepreneurship skills through the WAGGGS Leadership Mindsets and the WAGGGS Non-formal Educational Methods
  • For Brownies and Guides to have fun in a creative and safe space for idea exploration and risk-taking
  • To increase cookie sales, positively impact the public image of GGS and increase public recognition and awareness of the organisation

Send your girls to Guide House for them to experience the activities and learn entrepreneurship skills on the spot at a HQ-level workshop. Brownies and Guides should apply their skills back in the unit after the workshop.
