(Decentralised) Singapore Cancer Society – Anti-Smoking Ambassador

In view of the 2019-nCov virus, this event will be decentralized to Unit level. // The GGS and Singapore Cancer Society Anti-smoking Ambassador badge programme is into its 5th year and about 600 girls have completed the programme. In this programme, the Guides who are Smoke Free Ambassadors will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. Through the programme the Guides are challenge to innovate and create meaningful anti-smoking campaigns to encourage their peers to either quit smoking or not smoke at all. Girls who have completed the programme have shown to display creativity in planning their campaign and were effective advocates to their peers to live a healthy lifestyle. Training Details: Dates in 2020 (Choose 1 out of 4): 4th March 2020 (Wednesday), 6th March 2020 (Friday), 11th March 2020 (Wednesday) or 13th March 2020 (Friday) Time: 3.00pm to 6.00pm Venue: GGS Guide House Attire: Guide half-uniform/School Attire Things to bring: Water bottle & writing materials Badge Award Ceremony: Detailed information will be released nearer to the date. Registration: Guides need to attend one workshop only. Maximum participation: 60 Guides per workshop. . Registration on a first-come-first-served basis.
