In line with the WTD 2018 theme of “IMPACT”, GGS is proud to present the GIRL Conference for Guiders and Guides:
Be the GIRL (Giver
. Innovator
. Risk-taker
. Leader) 2018.
“Be the GIRL” is specially designed to enable girls and young women to lead and implement holistic social actions in community work contributing to United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using Girl Guide leadership mindsets and educational approaches.
It galvanizes all members towards the Movement’s Vision of “All girls are valued and take actions to change the world”.
Event Details:
Date: 21 – 24 October 2018 (Sunday to Wednesday)
Venue: YWCA – Fort Canning Lodge
Fee: $150.00 per person (early bird registration till 31 July 2018)
$200.00 per person (Registration from 1 – 20 August 2018)

Things to note:
Participants from each school can be grouped by:
- 1 Guider and 2 Guides, or
- 1 Guider and 1 Guide, or
- Guiders alone.
Brownie Guiders are welcomed to attend.
This program is suitable for girls and young women at least 14 years and above.
Guides participants can be either secondary 2 or 3 potential leaders.
For Guiders who have completed WLDP 2017, this training is an extension of the program with new modules in Taking Social Actions with outdoor components.
