Batch 2: Gardens By The Bay Ambassador Programme Virtual Orientation Sesssion

Dear Guide Guiders,
The Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2024 is back. Since its launch in 2012, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. This is indeed a great learning opportunity for the Guides as they play an active role in one of Singapore’s popular tourist attractions.
Please read the details below carefully before committing to this programme.
Guides will only attain this badge if they complete sessions 1 – 4.
If a Guide misses an Ask Me! session, she will need to do a make-up session based on GBTB’s availability.

- Number of available places: 80
- Each school must send a minimum of 10 Guides and a maximum of 20 Guides.
- (Please send even numbers as Guides will be paired when conducting the Ask Me! Service Session)

Session 1: Virtual Orientation Session via Microsoft Teams (Compulsory)
Date/Day: 15 August 2024, Thursday
Time: 3pm – 4pm (Guides to log on 15 minutes before the start of session)
Mode: Online via Microsoft Teams (Details will be sent upon confirmation)
Attire: Guides polo t-shirt/Guides-related t-shirt
Note: Guiders must accompany the Guides online. Please ensure that the Guides and Guiders’ laptops are able to access Microsoft Teams. Please approach your IT Helpdesk, if you encounter any technical issues.
Session 2: Onsite ASK Me! Training Session (Compulsory to attend 1 session)
Training Session 1 (40 pax): 19 August 2024, Monday, 3pm – 4.30pm

Session 3 & 4: ASK Me! Service Sessions (Each Guide must complete 2 service sessions)
Option 1: 24 & 25 Aug 2024, Saturday & Sunday, 1.30pm – 5.30pm (20 pax only)
Option 2: 26 & 27 Oct 2024, Saturday & Sunday, 1.30pm – 5.30pm (20 pax only)
Option 3: 2 & 3 Nov 2024, Saturday & Sunday, 1.30pm – 5.30pm (20 pax only)
Option 4: 9 & 10 Nov 2024, Saturday & Sunday, 1.30pm – 5.30pm (20 pax only)
