Basic Training Course 2025 Round 1 Theory Module Part 1

Dear Sir/Mdm,

 

Girl Guides Singapore (GGS) will be conducting the Basic Training Course (BTC) in February – May 2024 for all adult leaders leading the Brownies / Girl Guides’ programme in School.

 

The BTC is a compulsory training course for all teachers who are appointed as Guiders for the school CCA,  Brownies / Girl Guides and for any Young Adult who wishes to become a warranted Guider. This course will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to value-add and lead the Brownies / Girl Guides programmes in their Units. The course consist of 3 modules. All Adult Leaders and Young Adults must complete all the 3 modules of this course before they can receive their warrant.

 

The course fees are as follows:

  • Brownie Guiders: $380 excluding 9% GST
  • Guide Guiders: $300 excluding 9% GST
  • HQ Guiders:
    • For Young Adults Not Requiring Uniforms: $35 excluding 9% GST
    • New Adult Leaders Not Requiring Uniforms: $70 excluding 9% GST
    • New Adult Leaders Requiring Uniforms: $130 excluding 9% GST

100% attendance is required for the BTC.

March Session for March Camp:

8 March 2025, Saturday @ Guide House, 9am – 3pm

September Session for September Camp:

Camp / Pack Holiday Module

Brownie Guiders are given the option of completing their Pack Holiday module during their own Brownie Pack Holiday

Pack Holiday Module: 26 – 28 November 2025 (3D2N Pack Holiday), Wednesday – Friday at Camp Christine

March Camp:

27 – 29 March 2025 (Thursday – Saturday) @ Camp Christine

25 – 27 September 2025 (Thursday – Saturday) @ Camp Christine
Unit Visit

After completing Theory Module OR within 6 months of completing Pack Holiday Module or during Pack Holiday in own Unit

After completing Theory Module OR within 6 months of completing Camp Module
