People’s Association Emergency Preparedness Badge Programme Round 2

Dear Guide Guiders,
Girl Guides Singapore in collaboration with People’s Association (PA), are enhancing youths’ emergency preparedness capabilities and both movements will be proposing a new Interest Badge Programme called the Emergency Preparedness Trooper Badge Programme.
Please note the following details:
Please note that as part of this badge programme, the Guides / YAs would be required to complete the following:
This includes:
- Training of girls to attain 2 Days First-Aid Training, CPR and AED Certification workshop facilitated by PA (16 Guides / Young Adults / Adult Leaders per session)
- Girls involved in at least two local community event to apply their skills.
These events include:
- sharing of lifesaving trainings to residents
- assisting SCDF trainers in the demonstration of CPR-AED techniques and procedures
- providing first-aid coverage for large scale events.
- The badge is applicable to both a Girl Guide and a Young Adult.
- Adult Leaders are also welcome to join in, however, the badge attained cannot be sewn on the uniform.
Please note that the trainings will be conducted in the following manner:
2 Days’ Training is broken down into
- The other day will be a self-directed, virtual learning that the Guide / YA will be required to complete before attending the physical training’s session.
- 1 day of physical trainings on either 19 April, 10 May, 27 June, 28 June 2025.
Please note that the girls that are committed to this programme would be required to
- Complete the First-Aid Training and become a certified First-Aider
- Complete at least two local community events with People’s Association to apply their skills
