SUMMARY:Advocacy Mentorship Programme: Registrations Open
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nAre your Guides passionate about sustainability? Do they want to make a positive change in your community? If so\, join our Advocacy Mentorship Programme 2026!\n\nThis is a programme for Guides to work in teams of three or four to design and execute an original advocacy project. This project should be related to one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): \n\n	SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing\n	SDG 5: Gender Equality\n	SDG 10: Reducing Inequalities\n	SDG 13: Climate Action\n\nEach team will be paired up with an External Mentor who has substantial experience and knowledge advocating for the chosen SDG. The External Mentor will provide project guidance and feedback to develop the group’s project management and advocacy skills.\n\nAdvocacy is not simply raising awareness of an issue; it involves mobilizing collective action to promote changes in policy\, practices\, or laws. Advocacy should ultimately identify and target one or more decisionmaker(s) (e.g.\, school principal\, community leaders\, Member of Parliament\, or businesses leaders). To learn more about advocacy\, access the WAGGGS toolkit here: https://www.wagggs.org/en/what-we-do/girl-led-advocacy/advocacy-toolkit/ \n \nDuration of Project\n\nAll projects must be completed within six working months (e.g. 16 May 2026 to 16 November 2026). Progress shall be tracked in detail by the group.\n\nWithin this six-month period\, the team must complete their advocacy project and accumulate at least 10 hours of execution time.\n\n‘Execution’ does not include planning time and refers to any action of creation or advocacy (e.g.\, pitching to decision-maker\, making banners\, setting up and running social media campaigns\, giving speeches\, etc.).\n\nThere will be an Opening Meeting and Launch for at Guide House on 16 May from 9.30am – 12.30pm. As has been the case in previous years\, the official closing of the programme will be marked by World Thinking Day 2027. However\, apart from these two events\, the dates and times of group meetings and activities will be decided by the group in consultation with their External Mentor.\n\nThis project (once completed) is also eligible as an Advocacy Project under Initiatives or can be used as the PGA candidates’ VIA project.\n\nAt the end of the project\, each group will have to submit the following: \n\n	A project portfolio\, which includes photographs and individual group members’ reflections.\n	All activities during the project period\n	Corresponding time spent on each activity\,\n\nMore details will be provided to selected groups.\n\nEach group shall select a group leader. The group leader shall submit her group’s application\, after discussion with her teammates on the project proposal\, to this link. Throughout the project\, the group leader shall be responsible for communicating with GGS HQ and the group’s External Mentor.\n\nThere is no limit to the number of applications a school can submit. Should you wish to develop an existing project that had been created by Guides from your school\, your proposal should clearly state the new\, substantial elements of the project that you wish to embark on; it cannot be a mere repetition of what has been done before.\n\nApplications will close on 18 April 2026\, Saturday. Confirmation of final teams will be announced by 30 April 2026\, Thursday.\n\nTimeline\n3 March: Open Calls for AMP 2026 Submissions\n18 April: Deadline for submissions https://forms.gle/wf2k4T5WpdRado638\n30 April: Announcement of shortlisted teams with mentors\n16 May: Launch and Opening of AMP 2026 (compulsory for all shortlisted teams)\n\nIf you have any queries or concerns\, please email specialprojcomr@girlguides.org.sg. \n\nThank you! \nSincerely\, \n\nMs Anthea Goh\nSpecial Projects Commissioner

SUMMARY:Gardens By The Bay Ambassador Programme (Guides Batch 1) On-Site Training Session 1 (Flower Dome)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nThe Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2026 is back. Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Training Session (Compulsory to attend 1 session)\n\nTraining Session 1 (40 pax): 4 March 2026\, 3pm – 4.30pm\nTraining Session 2 (40 pax): 25 March 2026\, 3pm – 4.30pm\nTraining Session 3 (40 pax): 15 April 2026\, 3pm – 4.30pm \n\nMeeting Point: Flower Dome\nAttire: Guides t-shirt/polo tee & Guides skirt\n\nNote: Guiders must accompany Guides to Gardens by the Bay for this session.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please reach out to Irie at irie@girlguides.org.sg. \n\nThank you.\n\n\nSincerely\,\n\nMs Ong Zeng Zi\nGuide Branch Commissioner

SUMMARY:WAGGGS Leadership Mindsets Run 1 Day 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience.\n\nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader.\n\nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders.\n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 6 Guides for this training. \nThe workshop fees for each Guide is $10 / pax (excluding 9% GST)\n \nChoose either (you have to attend both dates in March\, or both dates in May):\n\n\n	5 March 2026\, 3pm – 5pm\n	6 March 2026\, 3pm – 5pm\n\nOR\n\n\n	21 May 2026\, 3pm – 5pm\n	22 May 2026\, 3pm – 5pm\n\nRegister here! \n\n\nPlease note that billing will be based strictly on the number of participants registered for the event\, as the fees are subsidised by GGS. In the event of a no-show\, the full fee will remain payable by the school or individual participant. \nStudents under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme\, students can seek support from the Masonic Charitable Fund to cover their full fees and be fully subsidised. The respective Guider is required to inform GGS on the student’s behalf. \n\nThe training will accommodate up to 40 Guides. Availability of slots is based on a first-come\, first-serve basis.\n\n \nIf you have any queries\, please feel free to reach out to Ms Nabihah at nur_nabihah@girlguides.org.sg.\n\nThank you. \n\nSincerely\,\nMs Ong Zeng Zi\nGuide Branch Commissioner
