SUMMARY:WAGGGS Leadership Model Round 2 Day 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \n  \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “way s of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here.  \n  \nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 5 Guides for this training. \n  \nThe course will cost $8 / Guide (exclusive of 9% GST). \n  \nEach training will accommodate up to 40 Guides. Availability of slots is based on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \n\nFor any queries\, please contact jasmine@girlguides.org.sg  \n  \nThank you! \n  \nYours sincerely\,\n\n \nJasmine Cheong\nHead\, Training\, Programmes and Unit Development

SUMMARY:NDP Combined Training
DESCRIPTION:Dear Sir/Madam\, \n  \nPlease note the following for the National Day Parade 2024. \n  \n\n	Attendance\n\nParticipation in the National Day Parade 2024 (NDP) requires full commitment of participants. GGS advises that your daughter/ward must be committed to attend all training sessions. This is to ensure that your daughter/ward will be conditioned for the actual parade and minimal disruption to their trainings and rehearsals. Any absence must be accompanied with a valid reason and/or relevant documentation(s). In the event that your daughter/ward will be absent for rehearsal\, she must inform us at the earliest possible for accountability. Poor attendance and performance may result in dismissal from NDP 2024’s participation. \n  \n2. Selection for Main Contingent and Reserves  \nSAF Trainers will take the lead to conduct continual assessment of the girls for this year’s GG NDP contingent. Trainers and GGS would assess participants on a weekly basis for main contingent on actual day. Final participants would be notified on 9 August 2024 as Trainers would re-evaluate after each rehearsal. \n  \n3. NDP Rehearsal Schedule \nDue to varying reasons\, such as haze\, viral outbreaks etc\, the Organising Committee may subject the rehearsal dates to changes or cancellations. Detailed information on the reporting and dismissal timings for trainings will be disseminated to your daughter/ward through their respective Guiders. Do note that reporting and dismissal timing are usually +2hours before and after the stipulated timings reflected in the table below\, subjected to change. Therefore\, your daughter/ward is advised to check with her Guiders regularly for updates. \n  \nTraining Dates (subjected to changes) \n\n\n\n\nNo. \n\n\nPurpose \n\n\nDate \n\n\nTime  \n(subjected to change) \n\n\nLocation \n\n\n\n\nA. \n\n\nGGS 1 \n\n\nSat 13 April 2024 \n\n\n9am – 12pm \n\n\nKuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School \n\n\n\n\nB. \n\n\nGGS 2 \n\n\nSat 20 April 2024 \n\n\n9am – 12pm \n\n\nKuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School \n\n\n\n\n1 \n\n\nCCR 1 \n\n\nSat 18 May 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n2 \n\n\nCCR 2 \n\n\nSat 24 May 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n3 \n\n\nCCR 3 \n\n\nSat 1 Jun 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n4 \n\n\nCCR 4 \n\n\nSat 8 Jun 2024 \n\n\n10am  – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n5 \n\n\nCR 1 \n\n\nSat 15 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n6 \n\n\nCR 2 \n\n\nSat 22 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n7 \n\n\nCR 3 \n\n\nSat 29 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n8 \n\n\nNE 1 \n\n\nSat 6 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n9 \n\n\nNE 2 \n\n\nSat 13 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n10 \n\n\nNE 3 \n\n\nSat 20 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n11 \n\n\nPreview 1 \n\n\nSat 27 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n12 \n\n\nPreview 2 \n\n\nSat 5 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n13 \n\n\nNDP 2024 \n\n\nFri 9 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n14 \n\n\nNDP 2024 (Reserve) \n\n\nSun 11 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 10pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n  \n4. For security reasons\, all Guides will have to take the transport provided to/from the training/rehearsal venues. SUMMARY:NDP Combined Training
DESCRIPTION:Dear Sir/Madam\, \n  \nPlease note the following for the National Day Parade 2024. \n  \n\n	Attendance\n\nParticipation in the National Day Parade 2024 (NDP) requires full commitment of participants. GGS advises that your daughter/ward must be committed to attend all training sessions. This is to ensure that your daughter/ward will be conditioned for the actual parade and minimal disruption to their trainings and rehearsals. Any absence must be accompanied with a valid reason and/or relevant documentation(s). In the event that your daughter/ward will be absent for rehearsal\, she must inform us at the earliest possible for accountability. Poor attendance and performance may result in dismissal from NDP 2024’s participation. \n  \n2. Selection for Main Contingent and Reserves  \nSAF Trainers will take the lead to conduct continual assessment of the girls for this year’s GG NDP contingent. Trainers and GGS would assess participants on a weekly basis for main contingent on actual day. Final participants would be notified on 9 August 2024 as Trainers would re-evaluate after each rehearsal. \n  \n3. NDP Rehearsal Schedule \nDue to varying reasons\, such as haze\, viral outbreaks etc\, the Organising Committee may subject the rehearsal dates to changes or cancellations. Detailed information on the reporting and dismissal timings for trainings will be disseminated to your daughter/ward through their respective Guiders. Do note that reporting and dismissal timing are usually +2hours before and after the stipulated timings reflected in the table below\, subjected to change. Therefore\, your daughter/ward is advised to check with her Guiders regularly for updates. \n  \nTraining Dates (subjected to changes) \n\n\n\n\nNo. \n\n\nPurpose \n\n\nDate \n\n\nTime  \n(subjected to change) \n\n\nLocation \n\n\n\n\nA. \n\n\nGGS 1 \n\n\nSat 13 April 2024 \n\n\n9am – 12pm \n\n\nKuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School \n\n\n\n\nB. \n\n\nGGS 2 \n\n\nSat 20 April 2024 \n\n\n9am – 12pm \n\n\nKuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School \n\n\n\n\n1 \n\n\nCCR 1 \n\n\nSat 18 May 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n2 \n\n\nCCR 2 \n\n\nSat 24 May 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n3 \n\n\nCCR 3 \n\n\nSat 1 Jun 2024 \n\n\n10am – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n4 \n\n\nCCR 4 \n\n\nSat 8 Jun 2024 \n\n\n10am  – 6pm \n\n\nSeletar Camp \n\n\n\n\n5 \n\n\nCR 1 \n\n\nSat 15 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n6 \n\n\nCR 2 \n\n\nSat 22 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n7 \n\n\nCR 3 \n\n\nSat 29 Jun 2024 \n\n\n9am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n8 \n\n\nNE 1 \n\n\nSat 6 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n9 \n\n\nNE 2 \n\n\nSat 13 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n10 \n\n\nNE 3 \n\n\nSat 20 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n11 \n\n\nPreview 1 \n\n\nSat 27 Jul 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n12 \n\n\nPreview 2 \n\n\nSat 5 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n13 \n\n\nNDP 2024 \n\n\nFri 9 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 8pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n14 \n\n\nNDP 2024 (Reserve) \n\n\nSun 11 Aug 2024 \n\n\n8am – 10pm \n\n\nPadang \n\n\n\n\n  \n4. For security reasons\, all Guides will have to take the transport provided to/from the training/rehearsal venues. SUMMARY:Yunga Water Challenge Badge for Brownies
DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,  \n  \nWe will be having a Yunga Water Challenge Badge for Brownies on 27 July 2024\, Saturday. \n  \nCan you imagine not using any water for a day? It’s almost impossible\, and certainly not comfortable! Almost all human-made objects require the use of water at some point during their manufacture. There is so much water in our everyday lives\, it’s very easy to just take it for granted. It is usually only once the rains stop and fresh water supplies dry up or are polluted that we remember we can’t afford to use water without thinking about how to ensure clean supplies for the future. To work towards providing everyone with enough\, healthy water\, 2013 was chosen to be the International Year of Water Cooperation. Many great initiatives were started – why don’t you get involved too? Let’s think about how to share this precious resource fairly and sustainably. Can you think of some clever ways to help preserve water in your homes? There is enough water for all of us\, but sometimes good planning is needed to make sure it’s available where it’s most needed. \n  \nThe objectives of Brownies will be participating in this workshop: \n\n	Introduce Brownies to the importance of water and its resources on Earth.\n	Empower Brownies to learn about global water issues and share solutions with others.\n	Introduce Brownies to water problems in other countries and brainstorm solutions to help one another.\n	Encourage Brownies to track their daily water usage and share water-saving ideas with loved ones.\n\n  \nPlease see details of the programme below \nDate: 27 July 2024\, Saturday \nTime: 9am – 12pm \nVenue: Guide House & Bishan-AMK Park \nAttire: Brownies Tshirt\, Culottes and Covered Shoes \n  \nMore details will be sent out in the first week of July! \n  \nSincerely\,  \n  \nMdm Samsia Sulaiman\nBrownie Branch Commissioner\nGirl Guides Singapore
