SUMMARY:Brownies Sixers' Training Course Level 2 Round 2
DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,   \nDue to low response on 8 July 2023\, we are postponing  the second round of Sixer’s Training Level 2 on 2 September 2023 instead.    \nTo provide an opportunity for all Sixers to have the necessary training\, we will be providing the resources for Sixer’s Training Level 1 for all Guiders to conduct at unit level. \n Here are the details for Sixer’s Training Level 2:   \n\n	Date: 2 September 2023 (Sat) \n	Time: 8 am to 3 pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $28/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a sixer or second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) \n\nOr have completed Sixer Training Level 1  \nEach school can send up to 4 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event.  \n(Detailed programme and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $11. \nAny Brownie who is on MOE FAS will have her course fees fully subsidized. However\, documentation from CCA HOD / School leaders stating that the girl is on MOE FAS will need to be emailed to sufia@girlguides.org.sg. \nAlso\, do take note that any successfully registered Brownies who did not attend the session will still be charged unless they have a valid MC.  \nThank you!  \n  \nSincerely\, \nDr Perema Ramasamy \nTraining Commissioner

SUMMARY:GGS Public Cooke Sales Project 2023 - Open Call
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders \n  \nOver the years\, Girl Guides Singapore has been providing our girls with the opportunity to develop and hone their communications and entrepreneurial skills with multiple platforms. Last year we launched the public cookie sales in collaboration with NTUC FairPrice and had a series of weekend sales at multiple locations with a very successful outcome.  \n  \nWe will be offering this opportunity out to all schools again this year\, giving your Brownies and Guides the platform to engage with the public\, encourage them to interact and influence the public and in the midst\, gain confidence and experience in customer service\, sales and independence. Our Brownies and Guides had benefitted from the community engagement and the funds raised through the annual public cookie sales. With the funds raised\, GGS was able to develop more REAL activities and programs for our members. \n  \nWe would like to invite your Brownie/Guide Units in the 2023 Public Cookie Sale which will be happening on the following weekends: \n\n	28 and 29 October\n	4\, 5\, 11\, 18 and 19 November\n\n  \nat the Following FairPrice outlets: \n\n	FairPrice Xtra Ang Mo Kio Hub – South\n	FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point – West\n	FairPrice Xtra Parkway Parade – East\n	FairPrice Finest Waterway Point – North\n\n  \nThere will be 2 shifts daily: \n\n	Shift 1 – 9.30am – 1.30pm\n	Shift 2 – 1pm – 5pm\n\nPlease fill out the interest form if you are keen for your unit to take part in this meaningful project.  A briefing session will be conducted for the Guiders in October. Do note that the slots and timing will be based on availability and while we will do our best to give you your preferred options\, we might at times provide you an alternative\, depending on responses received. \n  \nWe look forward to your continued support. \n  \nSincerely\,  \n  \nJalilah Johar\nLead\, Fundraising & Communications
