DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nThe Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2023 is back. Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,   \n   \nHQ will be organizing another round of Sixer’s Training Level 2 for P5 Brownies.     \nTo provide an opportunity for all Sixers to have the necessary training\, we will be providing the resources for Sixer’s Training Level 1 for all Guiders to conduct at unit level. \n Here are the details for Sixer’s Training Level 2:   \n\n	Date: 8 July 2023 (Sat) \n	Time: 8 am to 3 pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $28/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a sixer or second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) \n\nOr have completed Sixer Training Level 1  \nEach school can send up to 4 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school here.   \n(Detailed programme and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $11. \nAny Brownie who is on MOE FAS will have her course fees fully subsidized. DESCRIPTION:Dear YAs\,\n \nWe hope you have been doing well!\n \nWe are pleased to present our next peer group initiated activity\, conducted by Daisy and Helen peer groups.\n \nWe have organised an Urban City Trail which will be happening on 16 July 2023. Our activity theme is the outdoors\, so here’s what you can expect!\n \nTo start off our journey\, we will first explore The National Museum\, and then make our way to The Cathay as we learn fun facts along the way about these landmarks. We will also visit places such as Fort Canning\, War Memorial Park and Merlion Park and participate in activities adapted from the YUNGA Biodiversity Challenge badge package. This activity would be a great opportunity for you to bond with your fellow YAs while exploring the outdoors. \n \nDo take note of the following details:\nDate: 16 July 2023\, Sunday\nTime: 10.00am – 2.00pm\nMeeting venue: Dhoby Ghaut MRT\nDismissal venue: Merlion Park \nAttire: YA t-shirt (dark green)\, long pants/shorts and comfortable covered walking shoes. \nDate to collect your t-shirts at the Guide house will be announced via email at a later date\n \nThings to bring:\n • Water bottle \n • Umbrella/Poncho in case of wet weather \n • Insect repellent\, sunscreen \n • Notebook\n • Colouring material\n • Any personal medication if needed \n \nDo note that this activity is limited to the first 20 participants. SUMMARY:SANA Anti-Drug & Inhalant Abuse Badge Programme Round 2
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nAs the current online mode for the SANA Badge has received positive feedback across the board for its flexibility in completing the readings and assessment.\n\nWe will be scheduling a few months namely\, May\, July 2024 for the girls to partake in the SANA Anti-Drug & Inhalant Abuse Badge Programme.\n\nPlease note that the badge programme will cost $4.36 (inclusive of 9% GST) per Guide and there is no limit to the number of girls you can choose to send.\n\nPlease see the process below:\n1. Register for your girls in Google Form (the deadline for registration for each session is by 10 May and 20 July.\n2. GGS will email SANA with the number of girls for confirmation one week after registration closes.\n3. GGS will then send resources to Guiders the reading materials\, practice link and assessment link before the period.\n4. Guides can do their self-study and login anytime during the period to complete the online assessment. Guides are to practice for the quiz using the practice link before they attempt the actual assessment via the assessment link. Passing mark is 80%.\n5. It is the highest level of achievement that a Brownie can attain in her Guiding journey at the primary school level. It recognises the leadership qualities of the Brownie and one who has demonstrated strength of character and moral integrity\, commitment to the Brownie Promise\, Motto and Laws as well as being proficient in the five point program. \n\n  \n\n	 Adult Leaders’ Award:\n\n\n	Palm Leaf Award: It is conferred on uniformed members who have rendered meritorious or outstanding service to the Association.\n	Long Service Award: It is awarded to members who have rendered at least 5 years of active service to the Association. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \n  \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “way s of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training. \n  \nThe dates of trainings: 25 & 26 Jul (3.30pm – 5.30pm) \n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above.
