DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nFree Being Me \n  \nThis NEWLY revised activity-based programme will enable the participants to discover that their society\, through media and people around them\, encourages them to try to look like a very narrow definition of beauty. We want to help participants improve their confidence and self-esteem to realise their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities\, they will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident. The programme will challenge them to take the lead by taking action in their community\, sharing what they have learnt with their peers. \n  \nThis is an opportunity to develop and sharpen participants’ planning\, organising and leadership skills. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, Young Adults\, GGS Members and Staff\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore (GGS) is happy to share that we have been appointed as the only Local Implementing Partner in Singapore to support the ASEAN Cybersecurity Skilling Programme (ASEAN CSP) under the ASEAN Foundation.  \n  \nIn line with one of our key focus of Gender Equality (Sustainable Development Goal #5)\, GGS hopes to create a greater interest and raise awareness in digital literacy\, internet safety\, cyber security among girls and young women. The ASEAN CSP aims to enhance the capacities of the ASEAN teachers\, NGO/CSO facilitators\, educators\, youth job seekers and fresh graduates across 7 ASEAN-Member States to build a digital ecosystem for the ASEAN community on cybersecurity. \n  \nWe would like to invite you to collaborate with us in the ASEAN CSP. We hope to get your involvement as a Beneficiary receiving knowledge on Cybersecurity through the Empowerment Sessions facilitated by Master Trainers through a series of self-directed and synchronous outreach sessions.  \n  \nParticipants will have potential regional exposure\, access to ASEAN Foundation’s huge network and can look forward to access to Microsoft’s resources on Cybersecurity. DESCRIPTION:Girl Guides: Gardens by the Bay Ambassadors Programme 2023 (Round 1) \nThe Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2023 is back. Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. DESCRIPTION:Dear GGS Members\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore (GGS) will celebrate World Thinking Day (WTD) on Saturday\, 18 February 2023.  \n  \nThe theme Our World\, Our Peaceful Future supports the UN Sustainability Development Goal (SDG) on Climate Action by empowering a generation of environmentally conscious girls and women\, to become active eco-stewards. Our involvement in conservation and sustainability will make a difference to the environment\, through proactive action wherever we may be\, be it at home\, school\, workplace and/or in our communities.  \n  \n\n	World Thinking Day Programme\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Reporting Time\n\nSchools will be staggered to enter the venue at slightly different times to avoid traffic congestion \n\n\n8.00am \n\n\n\n\n\n	Arrival of GOH \n\n\n\n9.00am \n\n\n\n\n\n	Wide Game Plogathon\n\n\n\n9.30am – 11.00am \n\n\n\n\n\n	WTD Formal Ceremony\n\n\n\n11.15am – 12.15pm \n\n\n\n\n\n	Dismissal\n\n\n\n12.15pm onwards (in stages) \n\n\n\n\n  \n1. Reporting Venues and Attire \n\n	North Division – Naval Base Secondary School\n	South Division – CHIJ Secondary School (Toa Payoh)\n	East Division – Changkat Changi Secondary School\n	West Division – Jurong Secondary School\n\n  \n2. Attire \n\n	Uniformed members (all girls and all Guiders) – Full Brownie / Girl Guide / Young Adult / Guider uniform\n	Non – uniformed members – (members of National Council / Trefoil Guild /non-uniformed adult members) – Navy blue dress with adult leader scarf/Trefoil Guild scarf\n\n  \n3. World Thinking Day Patch \nThe patch are available for collection from the Office at Guide House during office hours.  \nPlease fill out the WTD patch collection form if you’d like to collect them from Guide House or arrange for them to be couriered together with other items ordered from the Shop before 18 Feb.   \nAlternatively\, Guiders may also collect the patches at the 4 hosting schools on 18 Feb. \n  \n4. World Thinking Day Pennies \nPledge a dollar and help raise valuable funds for the World Thinking Day Fund which seeks to transform lives of girls and young women through international life-changing opportunities.   We seek Guiders’ co–operation in explaining the purpose of the collection to the girls and the significance of the WTD Pennies. \nThe collection of the WTD Pennies can be submitted using the following options: \n\n	Cheque: payable to “Girl Guides Singapore”. Please indicate “WTD Pennies – Your school name” on the back of the cheque.\n	PayNow: to Girl Guides Singapore UEN: S67SS0005D. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guider-in-charge\,  \n  \nTo ensure that our members are kept up to date and to serve our members well\, we would appreciate your assistance to complete the annual update of membership records. \nPlease refer to the three documents appended for submission by  Friday 24 March 2023. \n  \nUnit Membership Registration Form 2023 \n\n	Please fill out the Unit Membership Registration Form 2023 and include all members (girls and Guiders). Please confirm that the number of members declared on the form tallies with the membership numbers updated in the school cockpit system. You will be required to submit a copy of the CCA membership information from the school cockpit system to GGS at the end of 2023.\n	Do ensure that the form is endorsed by the HOD for CCA before submission.\n\n  \nMembership Fee \n\n	The annual membership fee is $8 per member (Brownie/Girl Guide/Guider/MOE VAL/Unit Helper/Young Adult) and membership fee per pack/company is $10.\n	The membership fees allow GGS to sustain our programmes and daily operations to serve our members.\n	The invoice and payment of the membership fee for each school will be processed upon submission of the completed and endorsed Unit Membership Registration Form.\n\nGuiders Particulars Form- for new Guiders only \n\n	Please fill out the Guiders Particulars Form to assist us in including the new Guiders into our membership data. \n\n  \n GuidingLIGHT Account Creation Form 2023 \n\n	As of October 2022\, GGS has enabled Guiders to create new accounts for users in their schools. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nAction on Body Confidence \nThis activity-based programme focuses on empowering and supporting participants to plan and run their own body confidence advocacy projects so as to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. Through surveys\, discussions and creative activities\, they will uncover the problems that low body confidence causes in the society and ask for change from the decision makers.  \nThis is an opportunity to develop and sharpen participants’ planning\, organising\, leadership and advocacy skills.
