SUMMARY:Free Being Me (Guides) Round 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nFree Being Me \nThis activity-based programme will enable the participants to discover that their society\, through media and people around them\, encourages them to conform to a very narrow definition of beauty. We want to help participants improve their confidence and self-esteem to realise their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities\, they will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident. The programme will challenge them to take the lead by taking action in their community\, sharing what they have learnt with their peers. \nThis is an opportunity to develop and sharpen participants’ planning\, organising and leadership skills. They will also learn new ideas that will be useful for running fun and meaningful unit activities using the WAGGGS non-formal educational method. \nDetails of the virtual FBM Training \n\n	Please choose one :\n\n Round 1 ( sign up via this link https://forms.gle/i4aHRih9CNFAyAHx5 ) \n Part 1 – 11 February 2022 (Fri)\, 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm \nPart 2 – 18 February 2022 (Fri)\, 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm \nOR \nRound 2 ( sign up via this link https://forms.gle/BWaUjdF9rRp32Hyd6 ) \nPart 1 – 5 August 2022 (Fri)\, 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm \nPart 2 – 12 August 2022 (Fri)\, 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm \n  \n\n	Instructions:\n\n1) Able to access the internet for the training \n2) Prepare laptop with working audio\, microphone and video (do not use the mobile phone) \n3) Complete a pre-task before each training \n4) The Zoom link for the training will be sent to the Guiders of participating schools nearer the date \nNote \n– Attendance is compulsory on both days \n– Participants will have to conduct the FBM sessions in their units after the training \n– Participants will also have to plan and execute the FBM Take Action projects with their unit members in order for all to attain the FBM badges \nRegistration \n– Guiders can register for up to 5 Guides per school \n– Please sign up early for your preferred dates of training \n  \n– Slots will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis \n– Kindly direct all queries to linfang@girlguides.org.sg \n  \nYours sincerely\,  \n  \nOng Zeng Zi\nGuide Branch Commissioner \n

SUMMARY:WAGGGS Leadership Model Training (for Guides) Round 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \n  \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training. \n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 8 – 10 Guides for this training. Each training will accommodate up to 40 Guides. Availability of slots is based on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \n\nFor any queries\, please contact jasmine@girlguides.org.sg  \n  \nThank you
