DESCRIPTION:BPA 2022 Round 1 \nDear Guide Guiders\, \nThe registration for Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is now open: BPA 2022 Registration \nPlease be reminded that with effect from 2020\, BPA is a pre-requisite for application for the President’s Guide Award (PGA). \nApplicants who failed the BPA test for the first time will be allowed a second chance to take the BPA test. Each Guide will be given a maximum of TWO times to sit for the test. \nThe Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is the highest award given out by our Chief Commissioner to a Girl Guide.\nAll applicants must:\n• be below 18 years old in the year of the test;\n• be members of registered Coys of GGS;\n• be deemed by their Guider to have developed to their fullest leadership potential;\n• have attained at least a Silver Badge;\n• have attained any eight Proficiency / Interest Badges. \nBelow is the information pertaining to the written and execution test for Round 1\,\nWritten Test date: 21 Jan 2022\, Fri\nExecution Test date: To be completed by: 28 May 2022\nReporting Time: 2.30 pm\nTime: 3 pm – 5 pm (written test)\nVenue: Virtual\nAttire: Full Guide Uniform (Compulsory)\nPlease note that Guides who are late or inappropriately attired will not be allowed to sit for the test. \nThe deadline for BPA Round 1 Registration is 5pm\, 15 Jan 2022\, Saturday. \nPlease submit your registrations here: BPA 2022 R1 Registration \nThings to bring for the Written Test:\n• School Calendar (Semester 1 is enough. DESCRIPTION:To: All Primary & Secondary School Principals and Guiders \nBASIC TRAINING COURSE 1\, 2022 \n  \nDear Sir/Mdm\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore (GGS) will be conducting the Basic Training Course (BTC) in Jan – Mar 2022 for all adult leaders leading the Brownies / Girl Guides’ programme in School. \n  \nThe BTC is a compulsory training course for all teachers who are appointed as Guiders for the school CCA\,  Brownies / Girl Guides. This course will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to value-add and lead the Brownies / Girl Guides programmes in their Units. The course consist of 3 modules. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,\n\nHQ is organising the WAGGGS Badge Programme : the Free Being Me (FBM) cum the Action on Body Confidence (ABC) to P5 and P6 Brownies.\n\nThe Free Being Me (FBM) is a WAGGGS Badge targets at girls and young women. It focuses on empowering girls by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realize their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities through different technological platforms\, Brownies will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident.\n\nThe Action on Body Confidence (ABC) has been created to support more girls. It allows participants to plan and run Action Projects to reach out to more people in a meaningful way. Participants will develop skills in teamwork\, planning\, public speaking and decision making as well as campaigning and community outreach. \n\n“FBM” and “ABC” co-relates to MOE’s framework fulfilling the following objectives :\n1. Debunk societal myth (Self and Society Awareness)\n2. Create self-awareness in relation to one’s own strengths (Self-Management)\n3. Make responsible decisions about one’s choice (Responsible Decision-Making)\n4.
