DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \nHQ is organising the WAGGGS Badge Programme : the Free Being Me (FBM) cum the Action on Body Confidence (ABC) to P5 and P6 Brownies. \nThe Free Being Me (FBM) is a WAGGGS Badge targets at girls and young women. It focuses on empowering girls by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realize their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities through different technological platforms\, Brownies will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident. \nThe Action on Body Confidence (ABC) has been created to support more girls. It’s a plan and run Action Projects to reach out to more people in a meaningful way. Participants will develop skills in teamwork\, planning\, public speaking and decision making as well as campaigning and community outreach. \n“FBM” and “ABC” co-relates to MOE’s framework fulfilling the following objectives :\n1. Debunk societal myth (Self and Society Awareness)\n2. Create self-awareness in relations to one’s own strengths (Self-Management)\n3. Make responsible decisions about one’s choice (Responsible Decision-Making)\n4. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,  \n  \nWe will be trying out a 3 Days’ Patrol Leaders’ Training Course for Guide Leaders (virtual) on the following dates:  \n\n	PLTC 1 (< Register here): 8 – 10 Jun\, Tues – Thurs\n	PLTC 2 (< Register here): 22 – 24 Jun\, Tues – Thurs\n	PLTC 3 (< Register here): 8 – 10 Sep\, Wed – Fri\n\nThis PLTC will cost $30 / Guide. \nEach Unit can send up to 5 Guides and at a first-come\, first-served basis. \n  \nThis is the rough schedule: \nDay 1: 9am – 6pm (with appropriate breaks in between)\nDay 2: 9am – 9pm (with appropriate breaks in between)\nDay 3: 9am – 12pm \nFor Day 2’s programme\, we will prefer if girls can gather in School for Day 2’s programme with Laptop as there will be discussions and group work. SUMMARY:Singapore Cancer Society Workshop for Brownies R1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \nHQ is organising a pilot programme in collaboration with Singapore Cancer Society to P4 and P5 Brownies. \n  \nBrownies who come onboard this programme will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. As part of the badge requirements\, Brownies will be required to complete an advocacy project: \ni) After attending the workshop\, Brownies would need to submit their project proposal (this includes a Mask Design and proposal plan) by the 14 July 2021 \nii) Upon getting approval for their project\, Brownies would need to carry out outreach activities by preparing a deck of slides to present to their existing Brownie Pack/members of other CCAs via Zoom (from 15 to 30 July 2021) \niii) Thereafter\, schools would need to submit a summary report for each of the projects completed by 11 August 2021 \n\n\n  \nThis google form is for the registration of the Brownie Singapore Cancer Society Round 1 on 30 June 2021. \n  \nRegistration is based on the first-come-first-served. \n  \nPlease submit 1 google form per pack here \n\n \nSincerely\,\n \nMs Siti Nurbaya\nBrownie Branch Commissioner\nGirl Guides Singapore
