SUMMARY:SANA Badge Programme Workshops for 2021
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \n  \nAs the current online mode for the SANA Badge has received positive feedback across the board for its flexibility in completing the readings and assessment. \n  \nWe will be scheduling a few months namely\, March\, May and October in 2021 for the girls to participate in the SANA Anti-Drug & Inhalant Abuse Badge Programme. \n  \nPlease note that the badge programme will cost $3.00 / Guide and there is no limit to the number of girls you can choose to send. \n  \nPlease see the process below: \n\n	Register for your girls here (the deadline for registration for each session is by 20 Feb\, 24 Apr and 2 Oct 2021)\n	GGS will email SANA with the number of girls for confirmation\n	SANA will then send GGS the reading materials\, practice link and assessment link before the period.\n	Guides can do their self-study and login anytime during the period to complete the online assessment for self-practice. Guides are to practice for the quiz using the practice link before they attempt the actual assessment via the assessment link. Leader (GIRL) for SDGs 2021 \nIn line with our World Thinking Day theme for 2021\, “GIRL for SDGs – Peacebuilding”\, the Special Projects Committee is pleased to share the following exciting SDG-themed activities! \n  \nThere are two main parts: \n\n	Advocacy Workshops (for Guides and Guide Guiders only)\n	SDG Contests (for both Guide Units and Brownie Units)\n\n  \n\n	 Advocacy Workshops (for Guides and Guide Guiders only)\n\nA series of “Be the GIRL” Workshops will take participants through the process of change and enable them to identify and act on issues they have identified in their community. Participants will learn about Advocacy and its methods\, such as\, Circle of Influences and Project Planning\, among other skills. There will be 2 compulsory (virtual) workshops with the following objectives: \n  \n\n\n\n\nDate/Time \n\n\nItem \n\n\nSynopsis \n\n\n\n\nFri\, 5 Mar\n2.30 – 5pm \n\n\nVirtual Workshop – \nPlan the Change \n  \n\n\nGirls will learn to identify a social cause using tools such as problem trees and SWOT Analysis and learn to identify decision makers and how to approach them. \n\n\n\n\nFri\, 16 Apr\n2.30 – 5pm \n\n\nVirtual Workshop – \nLead the Change \n\n\nGirls will learn how to use GANTT Charts\, write elevator pitches\, and create budgets for their projects. \n\n\n\n\nPre-reading materials would be made available on GuidingLIGHT for participants prior to workshops. \n  \nOutcome of workshop: Participants would be required to plan and execute a Social Action Project Campaign. There will be 3 different submissions: \n–          Fri\, 19 Mar: Project Ideas Submission \n–          Fri\, 7 May: Project Plan Submission \n–          Fri\, 2 Jul: Project Report Submission \nMore details will be provided at the workshops. \n  \nTo support our participants\, templates\, consultations\, and seed funding would be available. \n\n\n\n\n  \nTo Register: \n\n\n\n\nOption 1: \n  \nSchools who are registering for workshops \n(Guided approach) \n\n\nEach Unit can nominate up to 2 Guides and 1 Guider to attend the workshops. They will then involve the rest of the Unit in their project execution! \n  \nThe deadline to register for the workshops is 1 March 2021. \n\n\n\n\nOption 2: \n  \nSchools who wish to execute projects but \ndo not wish to attend the workshops \n(Self-directed approach)  \n\n\nEach Unit can register up to 1 project. \n\n \nSchools will submit all the necessary projects documents and templates. SUMMARY:WAGGGS Surf Smart for Brownies (CV) R1 Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \nSurf Smart is a WAGGGS badge programme that contains lots of fun activities to help our girls develop new digital skills and awareness. The curriculum provides a unique resource which will equip girls with the skills required\, so that they will be able to connect positively with others online\, protect themselves and others as well as respect their own rights and reputation in the digital world. \nTo value-add our girls’ experience\, GGS is partnering with Singapore Children’s Society to conduct an e-workshop for the Brownies. This World Thinking Day\, we are talking about peace. Peace is not just the absence of war\, it means dignity\, safety\, and well-being for all. Our three SDG focus are: Every Girl Matters\, Equality for All and Leave No Trace and through our actions\, GGS hopes to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. \n  \nLet’s come together as a Movement and take action to make a change.
