In this programme\, the Guides who are Smoke Free Ambassadors will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. Through the programme the Guides are challenge to innovate and create meaningful anti-smoking campaigns to encourage their peers to either quit smoking or not smoke at all. DESCRIPTION:In view of the 2019-nCov virus\, this event will be postponed.\n\n//\n\nGGS-GB Guides Interest badge\n\n \n\nDear Guide Guiders\,\n\n \n\nThe GGS – GB Ambassador Programme has been running for the past few years and so far about 530 Guides have become ambassadors of the award-winning garden. We are glad to renew our partnership for another 5 years. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. This is indeed a great learning opportunity for the Guides as they play an active role in one of Singapore’s popular tourist attractions.\n\n \n\nFrom 2020 onwards\, Guides who have completed the Gardens By The Bay Ambassador Programme will attain the Gardens By the Bay Interest Badge as well as the Naturalist Proficiency Badge.\n\n \n\nRegistration for the GGS – GB Ambassador Programme 2020 is now opened.\n\nDo note that there is a compulsory Orientation (with training). Guides who miss it will have to join Batch 2’s programme instead. However if campers do not show up for camp after registration and confirmation\, full payment of $120 / pax will be billed to the schools. The workshop is now opened for registration. Guiders can register for up to 4 Guides (leadership ranks or with potential leadership) per school.\n\n \n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify     key     beliefs     and     demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\n \n\nApproach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. SUMMARY:(Postponed) Facilitation Workshop for Guiders
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\n \n\nGGS\, with the support from MOE\, will be conducting workshops on basic facilitation skills for Guiders in the coming months. The workshop is now opened for registration.\n\n \n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify     key     beliefs     and     demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\n \n\nApproach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop.
