GGS Public Cooke Sales Project 2023 – Open Call

Dear Guiders

Over the years, Girl Guides Singapore has been providing our girls with the opportunity to develop and hone their communications and entrepreneurial skills with multiple platforms. Last year we launched the public cookie sales in collaboration with NTUC FairPrice and had a series of weekend sales at multiple locations with a very successful outcome. 

We will be offering this opportunity out to all schools again this year, giving your Brownies and Guides the platform to engage with the public, encourage them to interact and influence the public and in the midst, gain confidence and experience in customer service, sales and independence. Our Brownies and Guides had benefitted from the community engagement and the funds raised through the annual public cookie sales. With the funds raised, GGS was able to develop more REAL activities and programs for our members.

We would like to invite your Brownie/Guide Units in the 2023 Public Cookie Sale which will be happening on the following weekends:

• 28 and 29 October
• 4, 5, 11, 18 and 19 November

at the Following FairPrice outlets:

1. FairPrice Xtra Ang Mo Kio Hub – South
2. FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point – West
3. FairPrice Xtra Parkway Parade – East
4. FairPrice Finest Waterway Point – North

There will be 2 shifts daily:

• Shift 1 – 9.30am – 1.30pm
• Shift 2 – 1pm – 5pm

Please fill out the interest form if you are keen for your unit to take part in this meaningful project.  A briefing session will be conducted for the Guiders in October. Do note that the slots and timing will be based on availability and while we will do our best to give you your preferred options, we might at times provide you an alternative, depending on responses received.
