DESCRIPTION:Dear Guides and Young Adults\, \n\nWe are pleased to present “Women of Change: Empowering Her”\, an international conference initiated and hosted by YAs in Singapore.  The programme will consist of two virtual workshops on 18 and 25 January 2026\, followed by an in-person conference from 14 March to 16 March 2026. \n\n“Women of Change: Empowering Her” is an international programme dedicated to championing gender equality. It will serve as a platform to inspire\, equip and empower young women with the knowledge\, skills and confidence to advocate for gender equality – in alignment with SDG 5: Gender Equality and the WAGGGS leadership mindset on Gender Equality.\n\nThrough workshops and conference sessions\, participants will engage with industry professionals\, exchange stories with like-minded young women from diverse cultural backgrounds and build a strong network of passionate changemakers. Furthermore\, this programme will provide a safe and empowering space for discussion\, ideation and the development of initiatives that break down gender barriers. The overview and details of the programme can be found in this link.\n\nUltimately\, we hope that this will create opportunities for all young women to thrive and develop their fullest potential in a more equitable world. After the event\, participants will be expected to complete a community impact project within their own Member Organisation / local community. More information on the impact project will be released at a later date.\n\nParticipation is open to all GGS Girl Members aged 15 to 25. \n\nThe event fee is SGD250 per participant. Payment instructions will follow upon registration. \n\nPlease register by 9 January 2026 via the following link: Registration for Women of Change: Empowering Her to register!  \nPlease note that billing will be based strictly on the number of participants registered for the event\, as the fees are subsidised by GGS. In the event of a no-show\, the full fee will remain payable by the school or individual participant. \nStudents under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme\, students can seek support from the Masonic Charitable Fund to cover their full fees and be fully subsidised. Interactive Forum Theatre: An engaging theatrical experience featuring three SGSecure-themed scenarios: \n\n	\n\n	Handling of unattended suspicious items\n	Response to lone-wolf attacks\n	Managing community misinformation during terrorist incidents\n\n\n\nThe forum theatre aims to encourage spontaneous participation from Youth CERTs\, allowing them to step on stage and explore different approaches to these security situations through interactive drama. \n\n\n\n\nYouth CERT Launch \n\n\n26 October\, 12-5pm \nUlu Pandan Community Club \n\n\n*Badge will be awarded during the session \n\n	Introduction of Psychological First Aid\n\n	Through interactive scenarios relevant to youth (such as managing exam stress or supporting peers through crises)\, the demonstration would highlight the immediate real-world applications of PFA in cadets’ daily lives\n\n\n	First Aid Pouch Challenge – Singapore Book of Records Attempt\n\n	Each participant will be tasked to correctly pack collective number of standardised first aid pouches\n	Official adjudicators from the Singapore Book of Records will be present to verify the attempt\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for both events here.  \nPlease note that Guides would also have been informed about these events as well as details regarding how to access their e-learning course (from the vendor) and the badge requirements + upcoming physical training on 30 Aug (for those who have not yet attended any physical training). \nGuides are confirmed for the badge programme once they have received these emails. Introduction of Psychological First Aid \n\n	\n\n	Through interactive scenarios relevant to youth (such as managing exam stress or supporting peers through crises)\, the demonstration would highlight the immediate real-world applications of PFA in cadets’ daily lives\n\n\n\n  \n2. First Aid Pouch Challenge – Singapore Book of Records Attempt \n\n	\n\n	Each participant will be tasked to correctly pack collective number of standardised first aid pouches\n	Official adjudicators from the Singapore Book of Records will be present to verify the attempt\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for both events here.  \nPlease note that Guides would also have been informed about these events as well as details regarding how to access their e-learning course (from the vendor) and the badge requirements + upcoming physical training on 30 Aug (for those who have not yet attended any physical training). \nGuides are confirmed for the badge programme once they have received these emails.
