DESCRIPTION:Dear Sir/Mdm\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore (GGS) will be conducting the Basic Training Course (BTC) in August – November 2024 for all adult leaders leading the Brownies / Girl Guides’ programme in School. \n  \nThe BTC is a compulsory training course for all teachers who are appointed as Guiders for the school CCA\,  Brownies / Girl Guides and for any Young Adult who wishes to become a warranted Guider. This course will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to value-add and lead the Brownies / Girl Guides programmes in their Units. The course consist of 3 modules. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,  \n  \nHere are the details for Sixers’ Training Level 2 (Round 1):   \n\n	Date: 27 April 2024 (Sat) \n	Time: 8 am to 3 pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $40/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a Sixer or Second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) or have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\n  \nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event. (Detailed programmes and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \n  \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $15. \n  \nAny Brownie who is on MOE FAS will have her course fees fully subsidized. DESCRIPTION:Dear Young Adults / Guiders\,  \n  \nWe will be having another briefing for Young Leaders Acceleration Program (YALP) in December 2023. \n  \nObjective: Empower Young Leaders to thrive as leaders and be changemakers within GGS \n  \nPrerequisite: \n\n	Open to all current and former members of Girl Guides Singapore aged 21 years old to 30 years old\n	Existing Uniformed members or working towards being a Uniformed member\n\n  \nStructure: \nUsing the WAGGGS Leadership Framework to develop the Young Leader in the necessary competencies \n\n\n\n\nProcess \n\n\nWhat it means? \n\n\nRationale \n\n\n\n\nStep 1: Awareness \nUnderstand the Leadership Model and the 6 Mindsets and the Organisation \n\n\nYoung Adult and Mentor would attend: \n\n	The WAGGGS Leadership Model and 6 Mindsets Training\n	Facilitation Workshop (MOE Sponsored)\n	Basic Training Course* (applicable to the Young Leader only. Mentor should technically have attended BTC herself)\n	Complete the Advocacy GuidingLIGHT Resource (developed by SDG Committee)\n\n\n\n	All expenses paid under Training Grant.\n	She can also consider tying this in with her NYAA Gold if she wishes.\n\n\n\nTo allow the Young Leader and Mentor to speak the same language \n\n\n\n\nStep 2: Practice \nConsciously practise the Leadership Model \nThe practice component and internalise component will be interrelated. \n\n\nYoung Leader to identify a specific project that she would like to embark. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “way s of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training. \n  \nThe dates of trainings: 31 October & 1 November \n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above.
