The workshop is now opened for registration. Guiders can register for up to 5 Guides (leadership ranks or with potential leadership) per school.\n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify key beliefs and demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\nApproach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\n \n\nAs mentioned in September 2019\, there are changes made to a few of the President’s Guide Award (PGA) Compulsory Badges.\n\n \n\nWith effect from 2020\, the compulsory Homemaker’s Badge (along with a few others) will be trained and tested by the Guiders of the PGA Applicants themselves.\n\n \n\nAs a result\, you are strongly encouraged to attend either one of the two Homemaker’s Badge Workshops on 17 Jan or 8 May 2020.\n\n \n\nGuiders who have attended the previous trainings need not attend this training. The rubrics for standardisation purposes will be disseminated during and after the training.\n\n \n\nYou can claim points for this Skills Workshop and also use it to work towards the Intermediate Skills Badge.\n\n \n\nPlease note that 2 Units per Guider are advised to attend as 1 Guider will assist in training and the other in testing. DESCRIPTION:In view of the 2019-nCov virus\, this event has been postponed.\n\n//\n\nDear Guiders & Volunteers\,\n\n \n\nAs part of WAGGGS’ Leadership training for young women organised the Juliette Low Seminar in 2019 reaching out to 20 hubs with over 500 participants last year.\n\n \n\nTwo of our delegates\, Putri and Siti Farhana attended this memorable and meaningful Seminar in Sangam\, India and Sydney\, Australia respectively. The theme was Lead Out Loud and focused on WAGGGS new leadership model and breaking gender barriers to leadership. Now\, they are ready to roll out the second half of their project\, 100 Girls Project in which they are expected to train and facilitate for 200 girls in Girl Guides Singapore in 2020.\n\n \n\nAs such\, we are looking for volunteers to join us as Facilitators to be part of this outreach and help us train 200 girls on the Leadership Mindsets on breaking gender barriers to leadership.\n\n \n\nTo equip you with the relevant skills and knowledge\, we will be providing a facilitators’ training on 29 Feb\, Sat from 9am – 1pm at Guide House.\n\n \n\nGuiders can claim PNA points and count this as a Skills’ Training Workshop.\n\n \n\nThis training will cover the following:\n\n 	WAGGGS Leadership Model\n 	Leadership Mindsets Application\n 	Energizers\n 	Session Plan for Leadership Mindsets Workshops.\n\n \n\nThe 6 upcoming Leadership Mindsets workshops for the 200 girls will happen on 21 Mar\, 23 May\, 27 Jun\, 22 Aug\, 10 Oct and 17 Oct.\n\n \n\nIf you are unable to confirm your commitment to the 6 workshops now\, you can confirm again later.\n\n \n\nDo try to register for this Facilitator’s Workshop as this is the leadership model that GGS is currently adopting. DESCRIPTION:To: All Primary School Principals and Guiders \n  \nBASIC TRAINING COURSE II \n  \nDear Sir / Mdm\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore (GGS) will be conducting the Basic Training Course (BTC) in Jan 2020 for all adult leaders leading the Brownies’ programme in School. \n  \nThe BTC is a compulsory training course for all teachers who are appointed as Guiders for the school CCA\, Brownies. This course will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to value-add and lead the Brownies programmes in their Packs. \n  \nThe course consist of 3 modules. SUMMARY:Skills Workshop: Homemaker's Badge Training (for Guide Guiders)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\n \n\nAs mentioned in September 2019\, there are changes made to a few of the President’s Guide Award (PGA) Compulsory Badges.\n\n \n\nWith effect from 2020\, the compulsory Homemaker’s Badge (along with a few others) will be trained and tested by the Guiders of the PGA Applicants themselves.\n\n \n\nAs a result\, you are strongly encouraged to attend either one of the two Homemaker’s Badge Workshops on 17 Jan or 8 May 2020.\n\n \n\nGuiders who have attended the previous trainings need not attend this training. The rubrics for standardisation purposes will be disseminated during and after the training.\n\n \n\nYou can claim points for this Skills Workshop and also use it to work towards the Intermediate Skills Badge.\n\n \n\nPlease note that 2 Units per Guider are advised to attend as 1 Guider will assist in training and the other in testing.
