It means that girls and young women do not only take part in activities\, they are also considered experts in their own lives\, and are informed\, empowered\, safe and valued when they participate. They are supported to be involved in decision making around their own activities and can shape the space they grow and learn best in! \nThis training will take you through the WAGGGS Framework for Meaningful Youth Participation to set you up with the tools to support your girl guides. You will have the opportunity to share your own experiences and hear from fellow girl guide leaders\, and find ways together to empower girls to make decisions and lead their girl scouting journeys! \nThe Trainer is part of G4GE (Girls 4 Green Energy) Launch in Singapore  \n\nG4GE focuses on empowering girls within the STEM sector\, encouraging them to become leaders in sustainability and technology. In Singapore\, girls have participated in “Minecraft Education: Planet Rescuers\,” exploring renewable energy challenges virtually and building hydropower prototypes in real life — emerging as “Green Heroes” who lead and collaborate on green energy solutions. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \n  \nHere are the details for Sixers’ Training Level 2 (Round 2):   \n\n	Date: 26 April 2025\, Saturday\n	Time: 8am – 3pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $40/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) (exc. GST)\n\n  \nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset. \n  \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a Sixer or Second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training or have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\n  \nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 40 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event. (Detailed programmes and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \n  \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $15 (exc GST). \n  \nPlease note that billing will be based strictly on the number of participants registered for the event\, as the fees are subsidised by GGS. In the event of a no-show\, the full fee will remain payable by the school or individual participant.\n\nStudents under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme\, students can seek support from the Masonic Charitable Fund to cover their full fees and be fully subsidised. SUMMARY:Mentally LIT Train-The-Trainer programme
DESCRIPTION:Dear GGS Members\, \n  \nThe Mental Health Advocacy Badge Programme for the Guides was launched in January 2021 in collaboration with Temasek Foundation Cares and REACH. Since then\, the Girl Guides have been trained and benefited other peers through their outreach and awareness campaigns. The programme is also aligned to MOE’s launch of National Strategy for Mental Health and Well Being of students. \n  \nThe REACH team from the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) will be conducting a Train-the-Trainers programme through a 2-day workshop to equip any interested Young Adult / Adult Leader on the necessary mental health knowledge and skills. The information and knowledge gained will be beneficial in a personal and professional capacity. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,  \nHere are the details for Sixers’ Training Level 2 (Round 2):   \n\n	Date: 17 August 2024 (Sat) \n	Time: 8 am to 3 pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $40/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) (exc. GST) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a Sixer or Second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) or have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\n  \nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event. (Detailed programmes and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \n  \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $15 (exc GST). \n  \nAny Brownie who is on MOE FAS will have her course fees fully subsidized.
