However\, Guiders who need a refresher are welcome to join us as well on either dates as well. \nGuiders who attend the session will also be awarded Skills Badge – Online Handbook e-badge. \nAn email confirmation for your attendance with your Online Handbook Account will be sent to you at least three days before the training. \nDo make sure that the microphone\, audio and video on the laptop are working before joining the Zoom Meeting. SUMMARY:Facilitation Workshop for Brownies (Virtual) Round 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \nGGS\, with the support from MOE\, will be conducting workshops on basic facilitation skills for student leaders in the coming months. The workshop is now opened for registration. Guiders can register for up to five P4 & P5 Brownies (Sixers / Seconds / Brownies with potential leadership) per school. \nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows: \n\n	Identify     key     beliefs     and     demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\n Approach for the workshops: \n\n	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. Debriefs will be conducted to unpack participants’ observations and distil learning points.\n	Hands-On Small Group Exercises – Direct experience is key to the learning and participants will work in small groups to practise the methods in customized work-related scenarios/ real-world contexts.\n	Affirming Feedback – Peer & trainer feedback is provided in a way that is meaningful\, affirming and encouraging.\n	Structured Reflections – Self-reflections are weaved throughout the workshop to enhance understanding of key concepts and techniques.\n\nWorkshop Details \nPlease note that all workshops are based on a first-come\, first-serve basis.
