DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nPATROL LEADERS’ TRAINING COURSE (18 – 20 June 2020)\n\nThe Patrol Leaders’ Training Course is now open for registration. The details are as follows:\nDate: 18 – 20 June 2020\nVenue of Training : Guide House\nReporting & Dismissal Venue : Guide House\nReporting Date/Time : 8.30am @ 18 June\nDismissal Date / Time : 1pm @ 20 June\nTraining Fee : $100 / Guide (inclusive of meals\, accommodation\, training materials and T-shirt)\n\nObjectives\n· To understand the roles and responsibilities of a Patrol Leader\n· To develop effective leadership and organisation skills\n· To Assist Guiders in managing the unit\n\nTarget Group\n· Guides who are identified as potential leaders or are holding leadership positions\n· Enrolled Guides in Sec 2 / 3\n\nCourse Requirement\n· 100% Attendance\n· Pre-Task: Each Unit must bring a testwork to share at camp. The test work should state:\ni. The learning objectives of the testwork\nii. The instructions on how to carry out the testwork\niii. Able to present and execute the testwork\niv. The activity must be related to any Module of the 5-point programme\n\nRegistration\n• Registration is on a first-come\, first-served basis. SUMMARY:(Postponed) Facilitation Workshop (Guides)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\nGGS\, with the support from MOE\, will be conducting workshops on basic facilitation skills for student leaders in the coming months. The workshop is now opened for registration. Guiders can register for up to 5 Guides (leadership ranks or with potential leadership) per school.\n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify key beliefs and demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\nApproach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. SUMMARY:WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training (for Guides)
DESCRIPTION:Girl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience.\n\n \n\nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “way s of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader.\n\n \n\nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders.\n\n \n\nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training.\n\n \n\nThere are 4 dates to choose from:\n\n 	26 June\, Fri\n 	24 Jul\, Fri\n 	14 Aug\, Fri\n 	11 Sep\, Fri\n\nAll sessions will take place in the afternoon from 2.30pm – 5.30pm. Participating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 10 Guides for this training. Each training will accommodate up to 40 Guides. Availability of slots is based on a first-come\, first-serve basis.\n\n
