Light snacks will be provided for the girls. \nObjective: The purpose of this session is to offer a space for Brownie and Guide leaders to gather\, exchange ideas related to the 5-Point Programme\, share feedback\, and present their vision of GIRL-LED and Guiding in Singapore to the Adult Leaders.\nTarget audience: Current & potential Brownie & Guide leaders for 2024 / 2025. DESCRIPTION:Dear South Division Guiders\,  \n  \nWe are pleased to invite you and your Unit for the upcoming South Division Learning Day workshops that will take place either on: \n\n	\nFriday\, 26 July 2024 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm or \n\n	\nSaturday\, 27 July 2024 from 9am – 12pm or  \n\n	\nSaturday\, 3 August 2024 \n\n\n  \n\n	\nObjectives \n\n\n\n	\nTo strengthen girls’ 21CC skills through fun and interesting REAL activities \n\n	\nTo create leadership opportunities for girls to lead activities for their fellow Brownies and Guides in the South Division \n\n\n  \nThere will be 2 types of workshops happening for SD Learning Day 2024 spread across 2 days; HQ-Organised Workshops and Division-Led Workshops.  \n  \nDue to the nature of some of the HQ workshops\, we would require girls to attend the workshops physically at HQ. This will be confirmed in the first week of July. \n  \n\n	\nProgramme Outline \n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n\n\n\nTime \n\n\nItem \n\n\n\n\n2.00 pm – 2.30 pm \n\n\nRegistration \n\n\n\n\n2.30 pm – 3.00 pm \n\n\nWelcome and Briefing  \nIcebreaker \n\n\n\n\n3.00 pm – 3.45 pm \n\n\nLearning Session 1*  \n\n\n\n\n3.45 pm – 4.00 pm \n\n\nBreak  \n\n\n\n\n4.00 pm – 4.45 pm \n\n\nLearning Session 2* \n\n\n\n\n4.45 pm – 5.00 pm  \n\n\nAll Units to gather back  \n\n\n\n\n5.00 pm – 5.20 pm \n\n\nSing-a-long \n\n\n\n\n5.20 pm – 5.30 pm  \n\n\nClosing and Dismissal \n\n\n\n\n\n* Some HQ-Organised Workshops will only have 1 session\, lasting for 2 to 3 hours. More details will be given upon confirmation of workshops. \n  \n\n	\nHosting School \n\n\nWe are looking for 1 or 2 Schools to host the physical workshops for South Division Learning Day on 26 July 2024\, Friday.  \n  \nThere is an estimated of about 4 – 5 physical workshops which means that the school would need to provide space for 200 – 250 Brownies / Girl Guides and Guiders. \nWe would require \n\n	\nHall / ISH for starting and closing of the event \n\n	\n4 – 5 classrooms or open space for the workshops to be conducted \n\n	\nEstimated 200 – 250 girls \n\n	\nUshers to direct girls to the locations. \n\n\n  \nIf you are keen to assist in the hosting of the SDLD\, please let myself or Jasmine know by 3 July 2024\, Wednesday. \n  \n\n	\nSouth Division Learning Workshops Proposal Submissions \n\n\nWe are looking for 6 – 7 Brownie / Guide Units to submit Proposals for the Division-Led Workshops. \n  \nThe details for the workshop requirements are as follows:  \n\n	\nConnect to the World Thinking Day 2024 Theme: “Our World\, Our Thriving Future” \n\n	\nConduct a 45 minute session for 2 rounds. \n\n	\nEach workshop can accommodate a mixture of Brownies and Guides. \n\n	\nThe maximum number of participants for each workshop is 40. \n\n	\nThe mode of session can either be virtual or in-person. \n\n	\nFor virtual sessions\,  \n\n	\nA blend of virtual and hands-on activities is recommended. \n\n	\nAs much as possible\, participants should be able to obtain logistics from home or their respective Units. \n\n	\nProvide the Zoom link with the proposal submissions. \n\n	\nCreate breakout rooms\, if necessary\, for higher engagement. \n\n\n\n	\nSubmissions of Proposals are to be completed via this SDLD 2024 Proposal Submission Form by Friday\, 5 July 2024. \n\n	\nApprovals of Proposals are based on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \n\n	\nHQ will provide some feedback and final confirmation on  for the proposals submitted if required. Proposal Feedback can be seen here. \n\n	\nUnits can claim the necessary PNAA points for Division Yeoman Service. \n\n	\nEach Unit can claim up to $50 of the expenses incurred. Submission for Competition Ideas\nDetails to note for Units that are keen to host competitions:\n1. Competition must be for both Brownies and Guides. \n2. Duration of competition including judging : not longer than 1.5hours\n3. Max. of 8 competitions for South Division Day 2024 with 4 winning tier – 1st to 4th place. \n4. Each Competition can take up to a max. of 20 teams (Brownies & Guides inclusive). \n5. Rubrics should be tweaked slightly to cater for Brownies & Guides to be judged based on their age group.\n6. One google form per competition.\n7. Unit will also be required to get their own Guiders as judges. Please note the following details for the upcoming South Division Learning Day on 15 July 2023\, Saturday. \n  \nObjectives \n\n	To strengthen girls’ 21CC skills through fun and interesting REAL activities\n	To create leadership opportunities for girls to lead activities for their fellow Brownies and Guides in the South Division\n\n  \nThere will be 2 types of workshops happening for SD Learning Day 2023; HQ-Organised Workshops and Division-Led Workshops. Some workshops will happen on 14 July\, Friday and some on 15 July. \n  \nDue to the nature of some of the HQ workshops\, we would require girls to attend the workshops physically at HQ. This will be confirmed in the first week of July. \n  \nGuiders are advised not to send the same group of girls for the 14 and 15 July workshops so that they can rest as well. \n\n \n\n	South Division Learning Workshops Proposal Submissions\n\nWe are looking for 6 – 7 Brownie / Guide Units to submit Proposals for the Learning Day on 15 July 2023 from 9am – 11.30am virtually. \n  \nThese are the details that we will require:  \n\n	\n\n	Looking for 6 – 7 workshops submissions from the Division.\n	Tied to: World Thinking Day 2023 Theme: “Our World\, Our Peaceful Future”\n	Conduct a 2 hours to 2.15 hour session\n	Conducted completely virtually\n	Blend of virtual and hands-on activities\n\n	As much as possible\, participants should be able to obtain logistics from home or Units\n\n\n	Provide the Zoom link with the proposal submissions.\n	Each workshop to accommodate a mixture of Brownies and Guides.\n	The maximum for each workshop is 40 participants in total (breakout rooms to be created if necessary)\n	The workshops can be conducted by either Brownie Units or Guide Units.\n\n\n\n\n	Submissions of Proposals to be completed via Google Form by 3 July 2023\, Tuesday.\n\n\n	Submissions of Proposals are based on a first-come\, first-serve basis.\n	HQ will provide some feedback on the proposals submitted.
