Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. Registration is now open for our Brownie Sixers Training.  \nHere are the details for Sixer’s Training Level 2 (1st Run for 2026). \n📅 Date: 17 March 2026\, Tuesday\n⏰ Time: 9.00 am – 3.00 pm\n📍 Venue: Guide House\n📝 Fee:  $40 per Brownie\n($43.60 including 9% GST\, lunch\, and training booklet) \nWhat you’ll learn:\n✅ Roles & responsibilities of a Sixer & Second\n✅ Communication & leadership skills\n✅ How to lead a game or activity \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a sixer or second\n	Have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 40 places in total. \nRegistration is based on a first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nThe Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2026 is back. Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore is collaborating with various partners to ensure standards of foot drill adhere. Through drill\, habits of precision and response to a Leader’s orders are instilled. As a uniformed group\, we recognize that drill helps to instill discipline\, unity and respect. It is the fastest and most efficient way of gathering girls or moving them in an orderly manner. \n  \nThe Footdrill Proficiency Badge can only be attained through attending the Footdrill Proficiency Badge Course and passing the assessment. The clauses for the Footdrill Proficiency Badge can be found in Annex 1. \n  \nGuiders and Guides can refer to to this link for more information: https://tinyurl.com/GGS-Footdrill-materials \n  \nTo allow our Girls to take on responsibility at an earlier stage in teaching and coaching drill within their Units. This empowering of our Girls will build a sustainable model towards overcoming the challenges of having volunteers to commit their time on weekdays for their contribution to the respective Units. \n  \nDetails of the session as follow: \no    Date: 1 Nov 2025 \no    Time: 08:00 – 13:00 \no    Venue: TBC \no    Costing: $12/Guide \n–  Free-of-Charge for Guiders (GGS will subsidize 100% of the cost). \n–  Unit will be billed through IFAAS. \nLink to consent form: Footdrill Proficiency Badge Course_1 November 2025.pdf \n  \nTarget Audience \no    Guides who are medically fit and have leadership potential. These Guides are likely to be the girls who will lead the Unit in drills. Each session can take up to 72 Guides on a first-come-first-served basis. \no    Guiders are welcome to learn and observe. They must commit to the full duration of the session. \n  \nGGS will send the details and RAMS for the event to the Guiders two weeks before each session. \nIn case of bad weather\, the session will still proceed. However\, GGS may arrange for an extra practical assessment. \n  \nGuides are expected to be in Full Guide Uniform. Do refer to the GGS Drill Manual Chapter 2 Section 1 for the expectations. \n  \nThe passing mark for the assessment is 70%. Upon passing the assessment\, GGS will award the badge to the Guide through GuidingLIGHT. DESCRIPTION:Dear South Division Guiders\,  \n  \nWe are pleased to invite you and your Unit for the upcoming South Division Learning Day workshops that will take place either on: \n\n	\nFriday\, 26 July 2024 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm or \n\n	\nSaturday\, 27 July 2024 from 9am – 12pm or  \n\n	\nSaturday\, 3 August 2024 \n\n\n  \n\n	\nObjectives \n\n\n\n	\nTo strengthen girls’ 21CC skills through fun and interesting REAL activities \n\n	\nTo create leadership opportunities for girls to lead activities for their fellow Brownies and Guides in the South Division \n\n\n  \nThere will be 2 types of workshops happening for SD Learning Day 2024 spread across 2 days; HQ-Organised Workshops and Division-Led Workshops.  \n  \nDue to the nature of some of the HQ workshops\, we would require girls to attend the workshops physically at HQ. More details will be given upon confirmation of workshops. \n  \n\n	\nHosting School \n\n\nWe are looking for 1 or 2 Schools to host the physical workshops for South Division Learning Day on 26 July 2024\, Friday.  \n  \nThere is an estimated of about 4 – 5 physical workshops which means that the school would need to provide space for 200 – 250 Brownies / Girl Guides and Guiders. \nWe would require \n\n	\nHall / ISH for starting and closing of the event \n\n	\n4 – 5 classrooms or open space for the workshops to be conducted \n\n	\nEstimated 200 – 250 girls \n\n	\nUshers to direct girls to the locations. \n\n\n  \nIf you are keen to assist in the hosting of the SDLD\, please let myself or Jasmine know by 3 July 2024\, Wednesday. \n  \n\n	\nSouth Division Learning Workshops Proposal Submissions \n\n\nWe are looking for 6 – 7 Brownie / Guide Units to submit Proposals for the Division-Led Workshops. \n  \nThe details for the workshop requirements are as follows:  \n\n	\nConnect to the World Thinking Day 2024 Theme: “Our World\, Our Thriving Future” \n\n	\nConduct a 45 minute session for 2 rounds. \n\n	\nEach workshop can accommodate a mixture of Brownies and Guides. \n\n	\nThe maximum number of participants for each workshop is 40. \n\n	\nThe mode of session can either be virtual or in-person. \n\n	\nFor virtual sessions\,  \n\n	\nA blend of virtual and hands-on activities is recommended. \n\n	\nAs much as possible\, participants should be able to obtain logistics from home or their respective Units. \n\n	\nProvide the Zoom link with the proposal submissions. \n\n	\nCreate breakout rooms\, if necessary\, for higher engagement. \n\n\n\n	\nSubmissions of Proposals are to be completed via this SDLD 2024 Proposal Submission Form by Friday\, 5 July 2024. \n\n	\nApprovals of Proposals are based on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \n\n	\nHQ will provide some feedback and final confirmation on  for the proposals submitted if required. Proposal Feedback can be seen here. \n\n	\nUnits can claim the necessary PNAA points for Division Yeoman Service. \n\n	\nEach Unit can claim up to $50 of the expenses incurred.
