DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \nWe are excited to invite your Unit to participate in a meaningful community service project – 🎨 Painting Smiles – Bringing Joy Through Art 🌈 – a mural art painting at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH)! This initiative aligns with our commitment to service\, creativity and empowerment\, bringing joy and comfort to paediatric patients at KKH. \nProject Details: \n📅 Main Painting Day: Saturday\, 5 July 2025\n📅 Pre-work for Young Adults: Friday\, 4 July 2025 (Evening: 5 – 9 pm\, timing TBC)\n📅 Final Touch-ups: Either 12 or 19 July 2025 (TBC)\n📍 Location: DDII Nurse Station Level 1\n👩‍🎨 Who Can Join? Girl Guides\, Young Adults\, and Adult Leaders \nShift Options for 5 July 2025 (20-30 participants per shift) \n·        Shift 1: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm \n·        Shift 2: 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm \n·        Full Shift: 8:30 am – 7:00 pm \nWe welcome Units to register their interest and sign up for their preferred shift(s) below. This project is a fantastic opportunity for our girls to engage in teamwork\, leadership\, and service\, while contributing to a warm and welcoming hospital environment. \nVaccination Requirement for Volunteers \nAs per KKH’s hospital regulations\, all regular volunteers in clinical areas are required to provide records of the following before commencing volunteering:\n✅ 1 dose of Tdap (taken within the last 10 years)\n✅ 2 doses of MMR (OR blood test result showing measles\, mumps\, and rubella IgG positive)\n✅ 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) (OR blood test result showing Varicella IgG positive) \n🔹 Concession: Volunteers participating for only one session will be exempt from providing vaccination records. \nWe encourage participation from as many Guides as possible!
