SUMMARY:(Postponed) Facilitation Workshop for Guiders
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\n \n\nGGS\, with the support from MOE\, will be conducting workshops on basic facilitation skills for Guiders in the coming months. The workshop is now opened for registration.\n\n \n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify     key     beliefs     and     demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\n \n\nApproach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. Debriefs will be conducted to unpack participants’ observations and distil learning points.\n 	Hands-On Small Group Exercises – Direct experience is key to the learning and participants will work in small groups to practise the methods in customized work-related scenarios/ real-world contexts.\n 	Affirming Feedback – Peer & trainer feedback is provided in a way that is meaningful\, affirming and encouraging.\n 	Structured Reflections – Self-reflections are weaved throughout the workshop to enhance understanding of key concepts and techniques.\n\n \n\nWorkshop Details:\n\nDate: 25 September 2020\n\nTime: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm\n\nTrainer: External Vendor\n\nVenue: Guide House\, Bishan\n\nAttire: Guider T-shirt and blue/black bottoms with covered shoes\n\nThings to bring: Writing Materials\n\nMeals: Morning Tea and Lunch will be provided (Halal meals)\n\nFee: NIL (NO SHOW FEE OF $120 WILL BE CHARGEABLE for absentees as GGS will be charged by the external vendor on a per head basis)\n\n \n\nRegistration:\n\n 	Please sign up using Registration for Facilitation Workshop (Guiders)\n 	Maximum capacity per session: 20 adults\n 	Confirmation via email\n\n \n\nKindly direct all queries to linfang@girlguides.org.sg\n\n \n\nBest Regards\,\n\n \n\nDr\, Perema Ramasamy\nGuide Training Commissioner
