SUMMARY:Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme: Training (Flower Dome)
DESCRIPTION:The Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2022 has returned after a 2-year hiatus! \n\nSince its launch in 2012\, 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. \n\nIn addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. This is indeed a great learning opportunity for the Guides as they play an active role in one of Singapore’s popular tourist attractions.  \nUpdate: Unfortunately\, we will not be receiving anymore sign-ups.

SUMMARY:#GIRL4Change Social Action Video Contest #1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \n  \nAs part of the SDG Committee to continue inspiring about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, we will continue to launch our 4 SDG Contests for the year of 2022! \n  \nAs such\, we are excited to introduce you the first SDG competition of the year! \n  \n#GIRL4Change Social Action Video Contest #1 \nThe theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is #BreakTheBias. \n  \nWhether deliberate or unconscious\, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists is not enough – action is needed to help forge an inclusive world. \n  \nIn a 30-second video\, show us how you can dispel gender biases/stereotypes that you find in your community\, and tell us why they are harmful. An example of such bias is when a girl is often seen to be neater and better in household chores. This video should be at least done in a Patrol / Six / Unit / Pack. \n  \nBonus points if you can include the #BreakTheBias pose (include image from here) in a creative manner! \n  \n\n	All videos submission should adhere by the most updated SMM regulations – send in your submissions by 1 Apr 2022 at https://bit.ly/G4C-IWD22 \n\n\n	Each Unit / Pack is only allowed to send in 1 video. Guiders are to ensure that the necessary access rights are given for judging purposes.\n	Entries that cannot be accessed will not be considered for judging.\n\n  \nTogether\, let’s #BreakTheBias and be #GIRL4CHANGE. \n  \nAll participating and winning entries (top 3 for Brownies\, top 4 for Guides) will be able to gain the relevant PNAA points. \n  \nThank you \n  \nJasmine Cheong\nHead\nTraining\, Programmes & Unit Development\nGirl Guides Singapore

SUMMARY:WAGGGS Leadership Model Training (for Guides) Round 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \n  \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training. \n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 8 – 10 Guides for this training. Each training will accommodate up to 40 Guides. Availability of slots is based on a first-come\, first-serve basis. \n\nFor any queries\, please contact jasmine@girlguides.org.sg  \n  \nThank you
