DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nThe PGA is the highest level of achievement for a Girl Guide to work towards. SUMMARY:Baden Powell Award (BPA) Run 1 Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,\n\nThe registration for Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is now open: BPA 2026 Registration\n\nPlease be reminded that with effect from 2020\, BPA is a pre-requisite for application for the President’s Guide Award (PGA).\n\nApplicants who failed the BPA test for the first time will be allowed a second chance to take the BPA test. Each Guide will be given a maximum of TWO times to sit for the test.\n\nThe Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is the highest award given out by our Chief Commissioner to a Girl Guide.\nAll applicants must: \n\n	be below 18 years old in the year of the test;\n	be members of registered Coys of GGS;\n	be deemed by their Guider to have developed to their fullest leadership potential;\n	have attained at least a Silver Badge;\n	have attained any eight Proficiency/ Interest badges.\n\nFor Guiders sending your Guides for this test\, please note that you are required to send a qualified tester from your school. The ratio is 1 tester: 3 BPA candidates. \nThe tester will have to attend the compulsory BPA scripts markings on either 30 or 31 January 2026.\n\nBelow is the information pertaining to the written and execution test for Run 1: \nWritten Test\nDate: 23 January 2026\, Friday\nReporting Time: 2.30 pm\nTime: 3 pm – 5 pm\nVenue: Virtual (Zoom)\nAttire: Full Guide Uniform (Compulsory)\nPlease note that Guides who are late or inappropriately attired will not be allowed to sit for the test.\n\nThings to bring for the Written Test:\n1. School Calendar (Term 1)\n2. GGS Calendar (Term 1) \n3. Copy of 5-Point Programme Modules & Clauses **\n4. Planning template **\n5. Stationery\n\n** These documents will be shared in the email confirmation to Guiders \nPlease note that this test will be conducted online requiring the girls to upload their soft copy of their documents onto a Google Form for the final submission\n\nExecution Test\nDate: 2 February – 13 March 2026 \nThe deadline for BPA Run 1 Registration is 5pm\, 10 January 2026\, Saturday. Since its launch in 2012\, over 700 Guides have become proud GB Ambassadors\, gaining exclusive knowledge about the garden’s diverse plant life and sustainability efforts.\n\nThis unique programme offers more than just learning—it’s a hands-on experience! Guides will have the opportunity to \n\n🎍 lead garden tours and develop leadership skills\n🗣️ facilitate interactive programmes and develop public speaking skills\n💚 engage visitors and deepen their environmental knowledge\n\nWe invite you to register for Batch 1 of the GAP programme — spaces are limited\, so don’t miss out!\n\nRegistration Details: \n\n	Number of available places: 120\n	Each school may send a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 Guides\n	(Please send even numbers\, as Guides will be paired for the Ask Me!
