DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\,  \n  \nObjectives\n· To understand the roles and responsibilities of a Patrol Leader / ACL / CL\n· To develop effective leadership and organisation skills\n· To Assist Guiders in managing the unit \nTarget Group\n· Guides who are identified as potential leaders or are holding leadership positions\n· Enrolled Guides in Sec 2 / 3\n\nCourse Requirement\n– 100% Attendance\n– Pre-Task: Guides will be given work to do during the course itself. We expect the girls to complete the necessary work. \n  \nWe will be trying out a new way of conducting the Patrol Leaders’ Training Course for Guide Leaders in a blended format on the following dates:  \n\n	25 May\, 9am – 4pm (At HQ)\n	6 June\, 9am – 4pm (At HQ)\n	21 June\, 10am – 12pm (Virtual)\n	22 June\, 10am – 12pm (Virtual)\n	27 Jul\, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Virtual)\n\n  \n\n	This PLTC will cost $40 / Guide.\n	Any Guide who is on MOE FAS Scheme can request for 100% subsidies. There will be a no-show fee if these girls register but do not show up without a valid reason.\n	Each Unit can send up to 5 Guides. DESCRIPTION:The Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Programme (GAP) 2023 is back. Since its launch in 2012\, more than 600 of our Guides have become GB Ambassadors of the award-winning garden. Guides who have completed the programme discovered more about the vast variety of plants and acquired valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the garden. In addition\, they also gained experience by conducting garden tours as well as facilitating and delivering programmes amidst the beautiful setting. This is indeed a great learning opportunity for the Guides as they play an active role in one of Singapore’s popular tourist attractions. \n \nPlease read the details below carefully before committing to this programme. \nGuides will only attain this badge if they complete sessions 1 – 4. \nIf a Guide misses an Ask Me! session\, she will need to do a make-up session based on GBTB’s availability. \n\nGuides (Round 2) \n\n\n	Number of available places: 144\n	Each school must send a minimum of 10 Guides and a maximum of 12 Guides. \n	(Please send even numbers as Guides will be paired when conducting the Ask Me! SUMMARY:Mental Health Advocacy Badge Programme (8th run)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nMental health is everyone’s business. Awareness on mental health is important in order to remove stigma and extend help to those in need. \n  \nGirl Guides Singapore has launched the Mental Health Advocacy Badge Programme in 2021. It is created for the Guides to equip them with the mental health knowledge and skills as well as support them to initiate ground-up mental health projects to increase mental health awareness among their peers\, family and community. We want our girls to be mindful of the current situation and become responsible citizens who will take action to change the world by advocating for mental health to improve the lives of others. \n  \nThe next run of the Mentally LIT training will be held at Guide House on 30 – 31 May 2023 & 1 June 2023\, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (all three days). \nParticipants will need to complete an action project (group work) after that.
