DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nThere is an overwhelming response to the new badge programme on Mental Health Advocacy that was launched earlier in January 2021. The Mental Health Advocacy badge programme is created for the Guides to equip them with the mental health knowledge and skills as well as support them to initiate ground-up mental health projects to increase mental health awareness among their peers\, family and community. This pilot programme is funded by Temasek Foundation and the training will be delivered by the Institute of Mental Health. Do sign your Guides up for the next run of the training. \n  \nDetails of the third run of the training (via Zoom) \nSession 1 : 1 Nov 2021 (Mon)\, 9:00am – 12.30pm \nSession 2 : 2 Nov 2021 (Tues)\, 9:00am – 12.30pm \nSession 3 : 3 Nov 2021 (Wed)\, 9:00am – 12.30pm \nRequirements of this interest badge \n\n	Guides have to attend all three sessions of the training on mental health literacy\n	Upon completion of the training\, Guides (in groups of up to 6 girls) will have to design and complete an action project within the school or community on\n\n\n	seeking awareness of mental health\n	destigmatising mental health conditions in their school and community\n	promoting inclusivity for those with mental health conditions in the public\n\n\n	Complete an individual reflection of the Guide’s learning experience and submit a photo documentation of the project as a group\n\n  \nRegistration\nPlease sign up by 16 Oct 2021\, using this link Mental Health Programme Round 3\n\nEach Guider has to register for 5-6 Guides per school \nKindly direct all queries to linfang@girlguides.org.sg \n  \nSincerely\, \n  \nMs Ong Zeng Zi\nGuide Branch Commissioner.

SUMMARY:(Virtual) Wee Kim Wee Challenge (Preliminary Round)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \n  \nThe Guide Branch hopes to continue to organise the Wee Kim Wee Challenge Shield this year and in light of the social distancing measures\, the competition will take a slightly different format.  \n  \nAll Units are cordially invited to participate in the biennial Wee Kim Wee Challenge. The theme for the Challenge this year is Stand Together For Peace. \n  \nThe details of the Challenge are as follows: \n\n\n\n\nDate (Day) \n\n\nTime \n\n\nHosting Venue \n\n\nProgram \n\n\n\n\n5 Nov\, Fri \n\n\n3.00pm – 5.00pm \n\n\nRecording of the cooking session is done virtually by the team of Guides from participating schools. \n\n\nPreliminary Round \n\n\n\n\n27 Nov\, Sat \n\n\nTBC \n\n\nDepending on the situation in Sem 2\, the final round might be conducted in a f2f situaton setting instead. \n\n\nFinal Round \n\n\n\n\n  \nEach team should be made up of four Secondary 2 or 3 Guides. Each Company can send only one team. Please see attached for details on the Preliminary Rounds.
