Other than being an important and significant Brownie annual event\, the Brownie Revel also provides the girls with opportunities to befriend new Brownies and engage in fun and meaningful activities and competitions all in the same day!  \n  \nWith the theme of this year’s National Brownie Revel\, “Brownies for Inclusion: Change Starts with Me!” Brownies will get the opportunity to learn more about diversity and inclusiveness\, inspiring them to spread awareness and create change. \n  \nThis year’s National Brownie Revel is a unique one as it is helmed by the Young Adults (YAs). The team of 10 YAs recently went on an intriguing overseas experience in Bangkok\, Thailand\, as part of the inaugural “Youths For Inclusion Starts with You and I” international conference in late 2023. The Flying Up Ceremony is a Guiding tradition celebrating the achievements of Brownies and Guides as they take the next step in their Guiding journey\, symbolically “flying up” to the next phase of their personal and leadership development. This year\, we are proud to introduce the newly launched Guide Wings\, which will be presented during the Ceremony to mark this significant milestone.   \n  \n\n	The Brownie Wings is awarded to a Brownie who completes her Golden Hand before Primary 6 (i.e. by the end of Primary 5). She will fly up to be a Guide. \n	The Guide Wings is awarded to a Guide who completes her Gold Award before Secondary 4 (i.e. by the end of Secondary 3). GST) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a Sixer or Second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) or have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\n  \nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,  \n  \nWe will be having a Yunga Water Challenge Badge for Brownies on 27 July 2024\, Saturday. \n  \nCan you imagine not using any water for a day? It’s almost impossible\, and certainly not comfortable! Almost all human-made objects require the use of water at some point during their manufacture. There is so much water in our everyday lives\, it’s very easy to just take it for granted. It is usually only once the rains stop and fresh water supplies dry up or are polluted that we remember we can’t afford to use water without thinking about how to ensure clean supplies for the future. To work towards providing everyone with enough\, healthy water\, 2013 was chosen to be the International Year of Water Cooperation. Many great initiatives were started – why don’t you get involved too? Let’s think about how to share this precious resource fairly and sustainably. Can you think of some clever ways to help preserve water in your homes? DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,\n\nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience.\n\nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice which emphasizes on the daily behaviours one chooses to engage in as well as the values put into action creating a positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. The WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders.\n\nThe training session (6 Mindsets) will be covered over 2 compulsory days: 4 April (Thursday) and 5 April (Friday). \nDate: 4 & 5 April 2024  (Thurs & Fri)\nTime: 3.00pm-5.00pm\nFormat: Zoom\n\n*No. of Brownies :  Maximum of 5 Brownies per school (Registration is based on the first-come-first-served)\n\nThe cost fees per Brownies is $8.\n\nPayment will be IFAASed to the schools after the course. Please do take note that any successfully registered Brownies who did not attend either or both sessions will still be charged unless they have a valid MC. \n\nDeadline to register: Tues\, 26 March 2024 (5pm).
