DESCRIPTION:GGS and Singapore Cancer Society Anti-smoking Ambassador badge programme is into its 10th year and over 1000 girls have completed the programme. In this programme\, the Brownies who are Smoke Free Ambassadors will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. Through the programme the Brownies are challenge to innovate and create meaningful anti-smoking campaigns to encourage their peers to either quit smoking or not smoke at all. Girls who have completed the programme have shown to display creativity in planning their campaign and were effective advocates to  their peers to live a healthy lifestyle.  \n \n\nDate/Day: 5 March\, Wednesday\nTime: 2.30pm – 4.30pm\nMode: Virtual (Zoom)\nAttire: Brownie t-shirt\nClosing Date: 14 Feb\, Friday\nNumber of places available: 100 \n\n \nPlease take note of the following:\n1. The Flying Up Ceremony is a Guiding tradition celebrating the achievements of Brownies and Guides as they take the next step in their Guiding journey\, symbolically “flying up” to the next phase of their personal and leadership development. This year\, we are proud to introduce the newly launched Guide Wings\, which will be presented during the Ceremony to mark this significant milestone.   \n  \n\n	The Brownie Wings is awarded to a Brownie who completes her Golden Hand before Primary 6 (i.e. by the end of Primary 5). She will fly up to be a Guide. \n	The Guide Wings is awarded to a Guide who completes her Gold Award before Secondary 4 (i.e. by the end of Secondary 3). DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,\n\nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience.\n\nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice which emphasizes on the daily behaviours one chooses to engage in as well as the values put into action creating a positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. The WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,  \nHere are the details for Sixers’ Training Level 2 (Round 2):   \n\n	Date: 17 August 2024 (Sat) \n	Time: 8 am to 3 pm\n	Venue: Camp Christine (Pick-up/ drop-off at Guide House)\n	Fee:  $40/ per Brownie (inclusive of lunch and transport from HQ to Camp Christine and back\, training booklet\, Sixer’s patch and the BP Land Challenge fees.) (exc. GST) \n\nThis is an opportunity for Brownies to step out of their comfort zone by participating in the BP Land Challenge and reflecting on their experience using the Reflective Mindset.  They will practice their leadership skills when they plan and conduct an activity together with their teammates and hence practice using the Collaborative Mindset.   \nSince this is a Level 2 training\, Brownies must meet the following criteria:  \n\n	Is a Sixer or Second\n	Have attended GGS-organised Sixer Training before (e.g. 2022 Online Sixer Training) or have completed Sixer Training Level 1 \n\n  \nEach school can send up to 5 Brownies. There will only be 38 places in total. Registration is based on the first-come-first-served and will close once we hit the quota. For registration\, please submit 1 google form per school. We will need a minimum of 20 Brownies to proceed with the event. (Detailed programmes and RAMS will be provided to Guiders who have successfully registered their Brownies)   \n  \nBrownie Guiders need not accompany their girls for the training as there will be HQ trainers and GGS volunteers throughout the session. However if a Guider wants to join the training\, please do take note that the cost per accompanying Brownie Guider is $15 (exc GST). \n  \nAny Brownie who is on MOE FAS will have her course fees fully subsidized.
