DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \nWe are pleased to bring back Wee Kim Wee Challenge Shield 2025! \nPresident Wee Kim Wee presented Girl Guides Singapore with a shield bearing the Istana’s Coat of Arms in 1994 just before he ended his final term. This Challenge was held on a biennial basis and has seen umpteen Girl Guides through a variety of challenges—each challenging them to exercise creative and critical thinking skills.  \nThe Wee Kim Wee Challenge was revived in 2007 challenging Guides to showcase their culinary skills and present their dishes creatively. The WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \n\nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience.\n\nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice which emphasizes on the daily behaviours one chooses to engage in as well as the values put into action creating a positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. The WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. DESCRIPTION:GGS and Singapore Cancer Society Anti-smoking Ambassador badge programme is into its 10th year and over 1000 girls have completed the programme. In this programme\, the Brownies who are Smoke Free Ambassadors will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. Through the programme the Brownies are challenge to innovate and create meaningful anti-smoking campaigns to encourage their peers to either quit smoking or not smoke at all. Other than being an important and significant Brownie annual event\, the Brownie Revel also provides the girls with opportunities to befriend new Brownies and engage in fun and meaningful activities and competitions all in the same day!  \n  \nWith the theme of this year’s National Brownie Revel\, “Brownies for Inclusion: Change Starts with Me!” Brownies will get the opportunity to learn more about diversity and inclusiveness\, inspiring them to spread awareness and create change. \n  \nThis year’s National Brownie Revel is a unique one as it is helmed by the Young Adults (YAs). The team of 10 YAs recently went on an intriguing overseas experience in Bangkok\, Thailand\, as part of the inaugural “Youths For Inclusion Starts with You and I” international conference in late 2023. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders and Guide Guiders\, \n  \nIn collaboration with the Brownie\, Guide and Young Adult Branches\, we are pleased to pilot the Flying Ceremony at the national level. The Flying Up Ceremony is a Guiding tradition celebrating the achievements of Brownies and Guides as they take the next step in their Guiding journey\, symbolically “flying up” to the next phase of their personal and leadership development. This year\, we are proud to introduce the newly launched Guide Wings\, which will be presented during the Ceremony to mark this significant milestone.   \n  \n\n	The Brownie Wings is awarded to a Brownie who completes her Golden Hand before Primary 6 (i.e. by the end of Primary 5). She will fly up to be a Guide. \n	The Guide Wings is awarded to a Guide who completes her Gold Award before Secondary 4 (i.e. by the end of Secondary 3).
