DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\nGGS\, with the support from MOE\, will be conducting workshops on basic facilitation skills for student leaders in the coming months. The workshop is now opened for registration. Guiders can register for up to six P4 & P5 Brownies (Sixers / Seconds / Brownies with potential leadership) per school.\n\nThe objectives of the course as stated by MOE are as follows:\n\n 	Identify     key     beliefs     and     demonstrate behaviours of a learning facilitator\n 	Use a variety of facilitation strategies to make learning engaging\n 	Conduct conversations and energizers in a structured and meaningful manner\n 	Adapt activities to achieve the outcomes of a Brownies/Guides session and meet the needs of the learners\n 	Design questions to conduct reflection and review of lessons learnt\n\n Approach for the workshops:\n\n 	Role-Modelling – Trainer will role-model facilitation via explicit demonstrations of the strategies throughout the entire workshop. There will be three more sessions left and we strongly urge you to sign up for the upcoming trainings so that you can better use this platform during this period. Thus\, it is an expectation that all guide’s award information must be accurate by end 2020. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\n \n\nIn view of the Covid-19 situation\, we have decided to postpone the GIRL Rally to September.\n\n \n\nInterested Guiders may register for updates on the Rally via this link.\n\n \n\nWhat is the Girl Rally about?\n\nThrough the engagement with community partners and participation at interactive booths\, the GIRLs for SDGs Rally\, or the GIRL Rally aims to help our girls to\n\na. Understand and articulate the SDGs that GGS is focusing on in 2020\n\nb. Apply their theoretical knowledge of the 3 focus SDGs to practical application in terms of how it translates into the work undertaken by the community partners (e.g. how Unilever’s work with Dove has translated into the Free Being Me programme)\n\nc. DESCRIPTION:Gardens by the Bay Ambassador Pin Programme 2020 (Brownies)\nWhat can the Brownies achieve from the programme?\n\n\n\nBrownies will acquire valuable knowledge on the sustainability efforts of the gardens and discover the vast variety of plants found in the gardens.\n\n1. Gardens By the Bay Ambassador Pin\nBrownies will be trained to conduct a guided tour in the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. After the Ambassador Programme\, they will have to conduct a guided tour to their peers. (1 Trained Brownie: 20 Brownies) to attain the pin at the end.\n*Schools can write in to Gardens By the Bay (education@gardensbythebay.com.sg) 2 weeks prior to their visit to the two conservatories. School may purchase the admission tickets at $6 per Brownie for their Brownie Pack.\n\n2. Gardens By the Bay Interest Badge\nBrownies attending the peer guided tour by the Brownies in the Ambassador programme will receive the Gardens By the Bay Interest badge.\n\n3. New Release*\nThis year\, we will be introducing an extension of the Gardens by the bay programme with a Get Crafty component.
