It focuses on empowering girls by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realize their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities through different technological platforms\, Brownies will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident.\n \nThe Action on Body Confidence (ABC) has been created to support more girls. DESCRIPTION:GGS and Singapore Cancer Society Anti-smoking Ambassador badge programme is into its 9th year and about 900 girls have completed the programme. In this programme\, the Brownies who are Smoke Free Ambassadors will be given an opportunity to make significant impact to the community by educating their peers to promote a smoke free environment and at the same time help to reduce cancer in Singapore. Through the programme the Brownies are challenge to innovate and create meaningful anti-smoking campaigns to encourage their peers to either quit smoking or not smoke at all. Girls who have completed the programme have shown to display creativity in planning their campaign and were effective advocates to their peers to live a healthy lifestyle.\n\nTraining Details: \n\nDate: 8 July 2022 (Friday)\nTime: 2.30pm – 4.30pm \nPlatform: Zoom\nAttire: Brownie half-uniform/School Attire\nThings to bring: Water bottle & writing materials\nGuiders will be required to join the workshop with Brownies. \n\nBadge Award Ceremony:\nDetailed information will be released nearer to the date. \n\nRegistration:\nBrownies need to attend one workshop only.\nMaximum participation: 60 Brownies per workshop. .\nRegistration on a first-come-first-served basis. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \nGirl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice which emphasizes on the daily behaviours one choose to engage in as well as the values put into action creating a positive change. Leadership practice regards your “ways of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. The WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \n  \nAs part of the SDG Committee to continue inspiring about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, we will continue to launch our 4 SDG Contests for the year of 2022! \n  \nAs such\, we are excited to introduce you the first SDG competition of the year! \n  \n#GIRL4Change Social Action Video Contest #1 \nThe theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is #BreakTheBias. \n  \nWhether deliberate or unconscious\, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists is not enough – action is needed to help forge an inclusive world. \n  \nIn a 30-second video\, show us how you can dispel gender biases/stereotypes that you find in your community\, and tell us why they are harmful. DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\,\n\nHQ is organising the WAGGGS Badge Programme : the Free Being Me (FBM) cum the Action on Body Confidence (ABC) to P5 and P6 Brownies.\n\nThe Free Being Me (FBM) is a WAGGGS Badge targets at girls and young women. It focuses on empowering girls by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realize their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities through different technological platforms\, Brownies will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident.\n\nThe Action on Body Confidence (ABC) has been created to support more girls. It allows participants to plan and run Action Projects to reach out to more people in a meaningful way. Participants will develop skills in teamwork\, planning\, public speaking and decision making as well as campaigning and community outreach. \n\n“FBM” and “ABC” co-relates to MOE’s framework fulfilling the following objectives :\n1. Debunk societal myth (Self and Society Awareness)\n2. Create self-awareness in relation to one’s own strengths (Self-Management)\n3. Make responsible decisions about one’s choice (Responsible Decision-Making)\n4.
