SUMMARY:WAGGGs STEM Changemakers Online Training for Guide Guiders
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,  \n  \nLooking for a new badge programme for your unit? The STEM Changemakers badge programme is officially ready to be rolled out to your units!  \n  \nThe STEM Changemakers Programme is an exciting initiative developed by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts\, applying the Growing and Learning Framework. It empowers girls and young women to explore the world of STEM through fun\, engaging\, and purpose-driven learning experiences. The programme also focuses on equipping young people with the knowledge\, confidence\, and leadership to see themselves as future changemakers in STEM.  \n  \nHow do Guides earn the badge? \nTo earn the badge\, Guides will have to complete three interactive activities from the activity booklet\, and a hands-on STEM Challenge. These activities allow participants to discover what STEM means\, how STEM skills are part of their everyday lives\, and how these skills can be used to address global challenges. They will also explore the critical importance of gender equality in STEM fields and learn more about the role models who are breaking barriers and creating impact.  \n  \nUpon completion of the activities above\, Guides will also have to “take action” by sharing their learning and experience with at least two peers or members of their community\, spreading knowledge and multiplying the impact. \n  \nHow do we get started? \nBefore embarking on this badge\, Guiders will have to attend an online training session to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the programme at the unit level.  \n  \nAgenda: \n\n	Introduction to STEM Changemakers\n	Safeguarding training and creating a Brave Space\n	Briefing of activity booklet activities\n	Sharing of methods to run the programme more efficiently\n	Q&A session\n\n  \nGuiders’ online training dates: \nPlease choose ONE option from the following dates to attend the training: \n\n	13th January\, 2.00pm-4.00pm \n	14th January\, 2.00pm – 4.00pm \n	16th January\, 2.00pm – 4.00pm\n	17th January\, 9.00am – 11.00am\n	31st January\, 9.00am – 11.00am\n\n  \nAn email with the respective ZOOM links will be shared nearer to the date of training. \n  \nTo register\, please use this form: https://forms.gle/JYk5Mjf69J6sKxck8  \n  \nQuestions? \nPlease leave your questions on this Padlet and we will get back to you as soon as possible:  \n  \nThank you once again and we look forward to seeing you!  \n  \nKind Regards\, \nMiss Anthea Goh \nSpecial Projects Commissioner
