DESCRIPTION:Dear Guide Guiders\, \nDue to popular demand\, we are pleased to offer additional vacancies for the Emergency Preparedness Trooper Badge programme. \nThis collaboration between Girl Guides Singapore and the People’s Association (PA) is designed to enhance youth emergency readiness by providing essential first-aid training and practical community engagement. \nProgramme Overview \nParticipants (Guides\, Young Adults\, or Guiders) are required to: \n\n	Complete a 2-day First-Aid Training\, CPR\, and AED certification workshop facilitated by PA.\n\n	Day 1: Self-directed virtual learning (to be completed before the in-person session.\n	Day 2: Physical training on 30 August 2025\n\n\n	Participate in at least two local community events to apply their skills\, which may include:\n\n	Sharing lifesaving training with residents\n	Assisting SCDF trainers with CPR-AED demonstrations\n	Providing first-aid coverage at large-scale events\n\n\n\nThe badge is available for both Girl Guides and Young Adults. Adult Leaders are welcome to participate\, but the badge earned cannot be worn on the uniform. \nThose interested are invited to by 31 July 2025. SUMMARY:Wee Kim Wee Challenge (Masterclass)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \nWe are pleased to bring back Wee Kim Wee Challenge Shield 2025! \nPresident Wee Kim Wee presented Girl Guides Singapore with a shield bearing the Istana’s Coat of Arms in 1994 just before he ended his final term. This Challenge was held on a biennial basis and has seen umpteen Girl Guides through a variety of challenges—each challenging them to exercise creative and critical thinking skills.  \nThe Wee Kim Wee Challenge was revived in 2007 challenging Guides to showcase their culinary skills and present their dishes creatively. The dishes originate from Ms Wee Eng Hwa’s Cooking For The President’s Cookbook.  \nThe champion will have their school name carved into the Shield and be able to display the shield in their schools for 2 years! \nWe are now inviting Brownie Packs\, Guide Companies and Young Adults to participate in this year’s Wee Kim Wee Challenge.  \nPlease see below for more details:\n\n Theme: SG 60 – A Refreshed Spirit \nPlease register via this link https://forms.gle/xvXChTsDTyFSpeUd8 by 30 July 2025 (if you have registered earlier in April\, you do not need to do so again)  \n\n	   Number of Teams/ Participants & Fees\n – 10 teams per Division (First come\, first served basis)\n – Each School to send only 1 team\n – For Brownies: Register 2 Brownies per team\n – For Guides: Register 3 Guides per team\n – For Young Adults – Register 3 YAs per team\n – $15 per Brownie/Guide (before 9% GST)\n	   There are 3 sessions:\n Session 1: MasterClass\n Date/Day: 30 Aug 2025\, Saturday\n Time: 9am – 12pm\n Venue: Camp Christine  (71 Jalan Bahtera Singapore 719922)\n\nSession 2: Preliminary Round\n Date: 8 November 2025\, Saturday\n Time: 9am – 2pm\n Venue: Camp Christine  (71 Jalan Bahtera Singapore 719922)\n\n Session 3: Final Round\n Date: 15 November 2025\, Saturday\n Time: 9am – 2pm\n Venue: Camp Christine  (71 Jalan Bahtera Singapore 719922) \n\n	   Competition Format\n\nBrownies and Guides will be grouped together.
