SUMMARY:Online Advocacy Video Competition Circular #1 - International Women’s Day
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\, \n \nThe Special Projects Committee is organizing three online advocacy video competitions in 2025. This platform empowers Brownies and Guides to raise awareness about meaningful social causes through digital advocacy. By researching and promoting their chosen causes\, they will deepen their understanding of key issues while commemorating observed dates that inspire action. Beyond a competition\, this initiative fosters creativity\, equips them with digital skills\, and encourages girl-led community engagement.\n \nVideo requirements\n\n	\nGirls to form a team of 3 to 5 girls per video\n\n	\nA 1 minute long Instagram reel (portrait mode) with a caption for the reel\n\n	\nEach school can submit a maximum of 3 videos \n\n\n \nOD #1: International Women’s Day\nTheme: Her Story\, Our Cause  \nBehind every breakthrough is a woman who defied the odds and challenged gender norms. “Her Story\, Our Cause” celebrates these visionary women\, their resilience\, and their courage to break barriers. Guides will share the story of an inspiring woman who overcame adversity and redefined what’s possible. Through these stories\, we aim to inspire others to challenge stereotypes\, embrace their potential\, and continue the mission of advocating for equality.\n \nGirls are strongly encouraged to make use of their Term 2 Week 1 CCA session to work on this short video competition. Please submit all video submissions by 28 March 2025 (2359) via this form (https://tinyurl.com/advocacyvideocomp2025). \n \nWinning entries will be featured on the official Girl Guides Singapore Instagram account (@girlguidessingapore). \n \nThe rubrics for the judging is attached in Annex A. \n \nFeel free to reach out to us should you have any questions via this google form: (https://forms.gle/w9hzFBMKub2MjtzL7 )\n \nThank you for your support in encouraging our girls to take advocacy action. We look forward to watching your video entries!
