Hope everyone is having a good first half of 2023.\n \nOur next Peer Group Initiated Activity covering “Home” of the 5 Point Programme will be conducted by Cavendish and Elizabeth Peer Groups.\n \nMaybe the rising cost of GST is making you feel the pinch of dining outside\, or maybe your new year’s resolution was to pick up a new skill. Either way\, Cavendish and Elizabeth have got you covered! We have organized ‘Cook\, Learn\, and Dine!’ session which will be happening on 16 September 2023. Here is what you can expect:\n \nJoin us at GGS HQ for a morning of fun as we learn how to cook some simple dishes which are healthy and affordable! \n \nThis activity would be a great opportunity for you to bond with your fellow YAs\, pick up a new skill\, and increase awareness of the food you consume.\n \nThe objectives of this activity are as follows:\n • Allow participants to develop cooking skills to build independence and personal responsibility.\n • Increase participants’ knowledge about the cuisines from the 4 main races in Singapore.\n • Allow participants to gain new insights into how culture is incorporated into the respective dishes.\n \nDo take note of the following details:\nDate: 16th September 2023\, Saturday\nTime: 10am – 2.30pm\nVenue: Recreational Area\, Guide House\nAttire: YA t-shirt (dark green)\, long pants/shorts and comfortable covered shoes.  \n \nThings to bring:\n • Apron (optional)\n • Hairtie\n • Meal bag (Personal Plate\, Cup and utensils)\n • Container / Lunch box to contain food (optional)\n • Water bottle\n • Any personal medication if needed\n \nDo note that there are limited slots for this activity.
