SUMMARY:WAGGGS Surf Smart for Brownies (CV) R1 Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Dear Brownie Guiders\, \nSurf Smart is a WAGGGS badge programme that contains lots of fun activities to help our girls develop new digital skills and awareness. The curriculum provides a unique resource which will equip girls with the skills required\, so that they will be able to connect positively with others online\, protect themselves and others as well as respect their own rights and reputation in the digital world. \nTo value-add our girls’ experience\, GGS is partnering with Singapore Children’s Society to conduct an e-workshop for the Brownies. The training will incorporate the fundamentals from WAGGGS Surf Smart (Connect\, Protect\, & Respect) as well as Singapore Children’s Society Bully-Free Programme materials. \nWorkshop details  \nMode of delivery: Digital via Zoom (the link will be sent to the participating schools nearer the training date) \nNo. of sessions: two (1.5 hours for each workshop) – compulsory to attend both sessions \nSession 1: Saturday\, 27 Feb 2021 (9:00 am – 10:30 am) \nSession 2: Saturday\, 6 Mar 2021 (9:00 am – 10:30 am) \nGuiders are encouraged to sit in to observe the sessions (a HQ trainer will be around during the virtual training too) \nRegistration \nPlease sign up using this link https://forms.gle/QajYEeJ3vkvbrQZF9 \nEach Guider can register for up to 5 Brownies per school \nSurf Smart Badge \nIn addition to the training\, Brownies have to complete the activity “Put Yourself First” on page 35 of the Surf Smart booklet to earn their badges. \n Kindly direct all queries to linfang@girlguides.org.sg \n  \nMs Siti Nurbaya Jumain\nDeputy Chief Commissioners & Brownie Branch Commissioner

DESCRIPTION:Girl Guides Singapore is adopting the WAGGGS Leadership Model as part of our core Girl Guides Experience. \n  \nThis Leadership Model is a model of leadership practice. Leadership practice emphasizes on the daily behaviours you choose to engage in to put your values into action and create positive change. Leadership practice regards your “way s of being and thinking about the world” as the foundation to who you are as a leader. \n  \nThe WAGGGS leadership model uses a system of six mindsets as the main tool to make leadership practice conscious. We believe that girls\, no matter what age\, can consciously practice their leadership to become better leaders. \n  \nTo send your girls for this training\, you can register here: WAGGGS Leadership Model Virtual Training. \n\nParticipating Guides should be at least Sec 2s and above. Each Unit can send up to 8 – 10 Guides for this training. Each training will accommodate up to 40 Guides.
