SUMMARY:(Cancelled) Free Being Me Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Dear Guiders\,\n\nFree Being Me workshop\n\nThis activity-based programme focuses on empowering participants by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realise their fullest potential. Through fun and interactive activities\, they will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident. The programmes will teach them to plan their own action projects to make a positive difference to the lives of other children and young people.\n\nThis is an opportunity to develop and sharpen participants’ planning\, organising\, leadership and advocacy skills. They will also learn new ideas that will be useful for running fun and meaningful unit activities using the WAGGGS non-formal educational method.\n\nThe following are the objectives for the workshop :\n\n 	Debunk society’s image myth (Self and Society Awareness)\n 	Create self-awareness in relations to one’s own strengths (Self-Management)\n 	Make responsible decisions about one’s choice (Responsible Decision-making)\n 	Encourage others (Relationship Management)\n\nWorkshop Details:\n\nDate: 9 May 2020\, Saturday\n\nTime: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm\n\nVenue: Guide House (Hall)\n\nAttire : Half Uniform with covered shoes\n\nMeals provided: Morning Tea and Lunch (Halal)\n\nThings to bring: Writing materials and water bottle\n\nNote:\n\n 	Participants will have to conduct the FBM sessions in their units after the workshop.\n 	Participants will also have to plan and execute the FBM Take Action projects with their unit members in\n\norder for all to attain the FBM badges.\n\nRegistration:\n\n 	Maximum capacity for this workshop = 50 Guides\n 	Guiders can register for up to 5 Guides (student leaders) per school\n 	Please sign up before 20 April 2020 using this link https://forms.gle/DH4feESBMMQkcnVs5\n 	Kindly direct all queries to linfang@girlguides.org.sg\n\n \n\nYours-in-Guiding\n\nMrs Koh-Teh Yi Wen\nDeputy Chief Commissioner & Guide Branch Commissioner
