SUMMARY:(Postponed) Free Being Me & Action on Body Confidence Workshop (Brownies)
DESCRIPTION:Reg Form_FBMABC\n\nDear Brownie Guiders\,\n\n \n\nHQ is organising the WAGGGS Badge Programme : the Free Being Me (FBM) cum the Action on Body Confidence (ABC) to P4 and P5 Brownies.\n\n \n\nThe Free Being Me (FBM)  is a WAGGGS Badge  targets at girls and young women. It focuses on empowering girls by improving their confidence and self-esteem to realise their fullest potential.  Through fun and interactive activities\, Brownies will learn that body confidence and self-esteem come from valuing their bodies\, standing up to social pressures and supporting others to be more body confident.\n\n \n\nThe Action on Body Confidence (ABC) has been created to support more girls and boys.   It’s a plan and run Action Projects to reach out to more people in a meaningful way.  Participants will develop skills in teamwork\, planning\, public speaking and decision making as well as campaigning and community outreach.\n\n \n\n“FBM” and “ABC” co-relates to MOE’s framework fulfilling the following objectives :\n\n 	Debunk societal myth (Self and Society Awareness)\n 	Create self-awareness in relations to one’s own strengths (Self-Management)\n 	Make responsible decisions about one’s choice (Responsible Decision-Making)\n 	Encourage others (Relationship Management)\n\n \n\nBrownies will learn the following from this workshop:\n\n 	What’s inside us matter most\n 	There’s not just one way to look beautiful\n 	There is a huge diversity of beauty ideals around the world\n 	The media uses a narrow idea of beauty to sell things to us\n 	Images of beauty in the media often don’t show people as they really are\n 	Learning to value ourselves and our abilities that builds body confidence\n 	Sharing body confidence messages with friends can make us and our communities\n\nfeel more empowered\n\n \n\nThe details of the workshop are as follow:\n\nDate:                      Saturday\, 18th April 2020\n\nVenue:                  Girl Guide Singapore HQ (Hall)\n\nTime:                     0830 – 1.30pm (FBM session) (inclusive of morning tea and lunch)\n\n1.30pm – 4.30pm (ABC session) (inclusive of afternoon tea)\n\nTarget Group:        Primary 4 & 5 Brownies\n\nNo. of Brownies:    10 per pack.  (Minimum of 4 Brownies per school)  \n\n        (Registration is based on the first-come-first-served)\n\n \n\nThis program is funded by WAGGGS and supported by MOE. Lunch and Breaks will be provided.
