DESCRIPTION:Update: in view of the 2019-nCov situation\, this event has been decentralised.\n\n//\n\nBPA 2020 Round 1\, 7 February\n\n \n\nDear Guide Guiders\,\n\n \n\nThe registration for Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is now open.\n\n \n\nPlease see link here > BPA 2020 Round 1\n\n \n\nThe Baden-Powell Award (BPA) is the highest award given out by our Chief Commissioner to a Girl Guide. The BPA document can be found here.\n\n \n\nPlease be reminded that with effect from 2020\, BPA is a pre-requisite for application for the President’s Guide Award (PGA).\n\n \n\nApplicants who failed the BPA test for the first time will be allowed a second chance to take the BPA test. Each Guide will be allowed a maximum of TWO attempts to sit for the test.\n\n \n\nAll applicants must:\n\n 	be below 18 years old in the year of the test;\n 	be members of registered Coys of GGS;\n 	be deemed by their Guider to have developed to their fullest leadership potential;\n 	have attained at least a Silver Badge;\n 	have attained any eight Proficiency / Interest Badges.\n\n \n\nBelow is the information pertaining to the written and execution test for Round 1.\nWritten Test date: 7 February 2020\, Friday\n\nExecution Test date: To be completed by: 31 May 2020\n\nReporting Time: 2.30 pm\n\nTime: 3 pm – 5 pm (written test)\n\nVenue:\n\n 	Jurong Secondary School (31 Yuan Ching Rd\, Singapore 618652)\n 	Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School (10 Bishan Street 13\, Singapore 579795)\n\nAttire: Full Guide Uniform (Compulsory)\n\nPlease note that Guides who are late or inappropriately attired will not be allowed to sit for the test.\n\n \n\nThe deadline for BPA Round 1 Registration is 18 January 2020\, Saturday.\n\n \n\nThings to bring for the Written Test:\n\n 	School Calendar (Semester 1)\n 	5-Point Programme\n 	GGS Calendar (Semester 1)\n 	Stationery\n 	BPA Blank Planning Template (as many as you think your Guides require)\n\n \n\nFor Guiders sending your Guides for this test\, please note that you are required to send a qualified tester from your school.\n\n \n\nThe tester will have to attend the compulsory BPA scripts markings on either 13\, 14 or 15 February 2020. Markers are strongly recommended to complete the marking on the day itself at HQ.\n\n \n\n\n\n1\nBPA Benchmarking Round 2\n\n(BPA testers to choose dates according to their schedules)\n13 Feb\, Thurs\n3.00pm – 5.30pm\n\nGuide House\n\n\n14 Feb\, Fri\n\n\n15 Feb\, Sat\n9.30am – 12.30pm\n\nGuide House\n\n\n\nFor every three BPA applications\, the Unit must provide one BPA tester.\n\n \n\nThank you.\n\n \n\nBest Regards\,\n\n \n\nMrs Koh-Teh Yi Wen\nGuide Branch Commissioner\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Update: in view of the 2019-nCov situation\, this event has been postponed to semester two.\n\n//\n\nThe badge programme offers our Guides an opportunity to not only develop their presentation and social interaction skills and will also steer the Guides towards an aptitude for self-directed learning. The programme is delivered in an enjoyable and experiential manner via scavenger hunts and field investigations supervised by professional horticulturists. Hence it is a unique learning experience for any Guide who wants to know more about nature.
